  • Stuart Zender in veins!

  • Serious material.

  • I'd do Mr. Moon

  • Comment removed

  • Everyone was going on about how this was a classic Jamiroquai song - I gave it a listen and didn't think anything more of it. I'm back and it's bloody brilliant.

  • I really like this song. I only recently discovered it.

  • WOW I REALLY HATE THESE ADDS

  • and mrs earth.

  • Who in the history of the Earth is capable of disliking "Mr. Moon"? Those dislikes were obviously pushed by accident.

  • 04:20 till 04:30 : EXACTLY the same notes as a song by Benga, 'Loose synths', wtf? search it !

  • @lionizing1 yes the dubstep song has a sample from the jamiroquai's one.

  • fuck sme

  • Jamiryoo <3

  • what a tune, you gots to love it, that keyboard kicks ass too

  • 3:22 ¿An visto a moon? Negra chupa pija, Oohh ¿An visto a Moon? Negra chupa mia

  • @JoaQoMT JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA!

  • @JoaQoMT nono dice Han visto a moon? Me la chupa a mi yeaah! Han visto a moon? just love that Chupa a mi!

  • @fargu1to No, mentira. NO

  • I literally find an amazing gem created by this band everyday and now this adds to my endless list of favorites. Jamiroquai forever!

  • you got it brother hahahahahahhahahhahahahhaha

  • just play my tune mr.moon.. Love this tune!!

  • A connection of "Boogie Back", from Gran Turismo 5!

  • @wagnermaurente lol most of the lounge music from GT5 sounds like a Jamiroquai track which is great. I don't know why people hate the GT5 soundtrack (I love the Jazz and Lounge Music). Yakuza 4 has this track called Whiskey and Rhapsody which sounds like 'Do You Know Where You're Coming From'.

  • Weon me E N C A N T A ! *-*

  • always searching

  • this reminds me of some post punk stuff like A Certain Ratio, ESG etc. This could have come out in 1979.

  • Where else have I heard that keyboard tab 4:20-4:30 its eating me up lol anyone know?

  • Jamiroquai Are Them Niggas

  • you know when you are really pissed when the video stops loading in the middle of the fucking song?! i guess that just happens with the cool songs ;)

  • love love this one

  • underestimated super tune! Zender bassline is epic!

  • VERY COMPLIMENTS...

    ALBY

  • Are they from this planet????

  • jk

  • music u can burn one to!

  • Timeless and classic!....The good old days of JK...xx

  • no< those three people were just too stoned to hit the right button

  • there's 3 insane people in this world ( the dislikes) how can you not love the smooth bass?????

  • jamiroqai manda =D

  • You are absolutely correct. He is light years away from the rest of his competitors, if there are any. Coming to think of it he should re release all of the albums and create their own section in music stores because their music is comparable to none!

  • WE NEED TOBY N STU TO BE BACK.

  • 3 people missed the thumbs up button..... poor them

  • If it's Mr Moon that gives the sign then that's the sign that goes~

Everything about this song is perfect. Good vibes.

  • I love just about every song Jamiroquai have ever done, work of genius, nothing short. However this song seems to actually keep getting better. That album Emergency on Planet earth is the best album i have ever heard and never tire of listening to it. 3 of my all time favourites on one Album- Mr Moon, Manifest destiny and the single Emergency on Planet Earth.

  • I love that bass. "You really turn me on, You're the one that makes me smile" I think that I never will be tired of this song.

  • Toby is one of the baddest bassist I've ever heard. This classic is one of my all time favorites. Just play my tune.

  • @godbone39440 I FUKCING LOVE TOBY SMITH <3

  • If he re-released alot of his tunes they would be chart toppers......HE WAS WAY AHEAD OF HIS TIME.

  • Just give me a chance

I'll do what you want me to

    Everybody wants to dance

So how come I can't dance with you?

    You really turn me on

You're the one that makes me smile yeaah

    BEST LYRICS EVER

The lyrics, the bass, the keys.... amazing.

Jamiroquai has produced some solid music since Stu left, but the track are also a bit soulless. The band should be called Jam these days because the Iroquois Soul left wiht STU!

  • bless you for havin the studio version on here. woo!!!

  • Probably one of the most underrated JQ songs...

  • usually the bass is very underrated as most people are too deaf to listen to its subtleties but here it is the second voice and no one can miss it as your heart vibrates with it.

  • Mr. Kay... When are you gonna face the fact that you NEED Stuart Zender to make songs like this again??

Get down on your knees and beg of him to come back..

For the sake of our listening pleasure, and your wallet ;)

  • @langeblauwe Don't forget Toby Smith aswell!

  • Zender = Genius. <3

  • The bassline in the chorus has to be the most addictive thing ive ever heard

  • It`s cool!!!!

  • 1994... Year i was born... same year the Space Cowboy Returned! Oh Yes! :)

  • what are the chords of this song?

  • Class song. This was his best album for me.

  • I love it!!

  • I'm 14, and I fucking love this.. It's dope. Wanna get high listening to it! AHAHAHA...

  • @Daftendirektour Dude, being 14 and wanting to get high is NOT "cool".

Don't be stupid and follow bad trends like that. Instead learn some music, that will get you way higher than anything.

  • @TitiRealMadrid Best counsel ever man.. i can feel that too (get high with music ha =) )

  • @TitiRealMadrid Maybe he ment to say "tall" LOLOLOLOLO

  • @TitiRealMadrid sorry MUM.

  • @valkier Mate it's not about me being a party pooper or anything; it's about @Daftendirektour being 14 and wanting to get high. Don't get me wrong, I have NOTHING against pot as long as it's just that even though I don't even smoke cigs. But usually, someone who stars doing pot at 14 doesn't stop there. Let's hope he did if you actually got high.

  • I bought this album along w/ his first album when I was stationed in Italy, just hours before leaving Italy for good to my next assignment in March '96. I had seen 2 videos--TOO YOUNG TO DIE and SPACE COWBOY. I didn't hear TROTSC album until I got to Hawai'i and I was blown away. This track always reminds me of driving to downtown Honolulu @ night during a full moon while I played this song. Oh the memories.

  • Stuart Zender FTW!!

  • Favorite JQ song. one of the best to play on bass.

  • =D thats how i look when i here this ^^

  • You know I like this.

  • Stuart Zender rockin the bass!!!

  • are they still preforming? whats their status right now?

  • New album is coming out in 2 months. :)

  • @borrow32: thanks for this, I was hoping so.

  • @borrow32 you must be joking. 2 months? and there has been no mention of it at all? that'd be promotional suicide. 2011. earliest, September this year.

  • sick

  • I still wait for a song in radio with a TRUE bass. A song where the bass is not only the background of the song, but the SOUL of the song. I allways laugh when they use the word "groove" for everything. Maybe they should listen to this song, after they will understand the true definition of the groove.

Never get bored about this bassline, genius.

  • Right on.

  • Dude... The bass is awesome yes.. (i'm a huge fan of SZ... i even have his bass...) But the rhodes piano gives the vibe in this song.

  • @Iskander67 you dont know what the hell your talking about talking this shit that one of the best song writer's in the past 20 yrs doesnt know what the word groove means? dont post anymore comments your an idiot

  • @Iskander67 you dont know what the hell your talking about talking this shit that one of the best song writer's in the past 20 yrs doesnt know what the word groove means? dont post anymore comments your an idiot

  • @KCelectricity1 Hey guy, before you write a comment, read better. And Jamiroquai is not a songwriter, Jamiroquai is a BAND, and Jay kay one of the songwriter along with Stuart Zender and Toby Smith. Thanks.

  • @Iskander67

Night Noise Team "You Won" has a great bass line too

    search on youtube

  • jk number 1

  • very nice jk number 1

  • Jamiroquai was soooo good

  • @tjilp is*, they're making a new album as we speak. =)

  • for real? wow thanks man, that news made my day :)

  • Yeah, it comes out February 2010!

  • @yarafeld That's great news, thanks! =)

  • Not a chance. More like late 2010.

  • @Inflicter cool, thanks for the update

  • Zender the funky god of bass, brings it yet again with perfection!

  • That's Stuart Zender for you!!!!! the God of bass

  • Dang why don't people play more funk these days?

This is ace, I'm sick of hearing weak ass songs on the radio with no soul in them.

  • @djslipdisk check out recloose, sa-ra creative partners, metro area, the rebirth, soulive, nude continuum, fort knox five..there's quite a few groups nowadays doing funk and related music. let me know if you want more recommendations.

  • Yeah I love Sa Ra creative partners and Soulive - Got a nice 12" Bridge to Bama (or something like that!) with Hi-Tek and Kweli remix.

Don't know the others but will check, thanks ;-)

Also, check out my mates funk band - just google Jacuzzi500 and check out their myspace - Let me know aht you think dude. They're tight!

  • dude Soulive is sick!

  • ty for hints i'll check

  • It's Mr Moon who plays in tune !

  • yeah, sick bassline

  • Jamiroquai Moses leader of the moon cult. LOL!

  • stuart zender 4 president!!

bass line is the sickest ever!!

  • ......probably the best song I've ever heard.

  • Woo woo woah now! Have you gone astray, or lost your way?

    So awesome.

  • forse una delle poche cose che ci rimane nei momenti belli e nelle scelte difficili è la musica che ci calma ci apre gli occhi e ci consola...e ascoltarla mentre si guarda la luna è tutta un'altra cosa

  • funky song! :)

  • i love them sooooo much

  • everytime i play back this song.....last time i bought the cassette, CD still new at that time...no blue rays.....when i open again this song.....my world like at that lovely time ...open into my mind at this seconds.....remind me how songs should so relaxing like this....so calm and beautiful....and always remind me the late 1990's when i'm still lucrking sweets girls....when bad times came and broken hearted rate becoming troubling....this song is so curing man

  • I love this tune so much!! catchy...

  • this song is a masterpiece.

  • Oh my life!!!

This bass line has a massive pair of bollocks on it!

  • lol my friends call me mr.moon since im listening to this song xD but that tune is SICK :D

  • groveeee baby !!

  • this is FUNKAYYY-lb3

  • Holy crap, 4:22 is the tune from benga's "loose synths"

Benga nicked it though, not Jamiroquai.

  • yup, you're right. he probably used a midi file that's available on the net and just dropped it in his digital audio workstation.

  • Finally, someone else as noticed as well. Benga also nicked the chord progression which I think is Cm7, D6, Fm6. (a fucking mint chord sequence)

I'm a very big Jamiroquai fan and I'm also a dubstep head, but personally I think Benga is a tad overrated.

  • This song is magic :D

Listen to it hugging your girl during a full moon night ^-^

    Love & Peace 4 u all!! ;D

  • this song is HOT.

  • It make me wanna play bass and I playing instruments!

  • This is an unique slap bass style, it's Stuart Zender. We can recognize his style immediately, it's so raw and funky, great bassist of course ^^ .

And Jay Kay wrote the bassline for him, and Toby is doing a great piano solo. Timeless song. Of course it's still great now, even if the sound has changed.

  • Stuart left many years ago and married Melanie Blatt from All Saints, I think... not sure who replaced him, but it prob. would've been/think you're right that it is him playing the bass for this

  • Classic ish, hip hop needs to sample these cats more often.

  • musical genius,,,,i too hope they return the funk

  • Pray to the Moon when she is round Luck with you then abound........

  • they are awesome i really hope the new album goes back to their roots

  • Pity jamiroquai dont make music like this any more

  • you are totally right.

  • First two albums still stand the test of time. After that they aimed at a larger pop audience and made mediocre music. Same as the chili peppers after blood sugar

  • you're absolutely right

  • WTF. You simply can't say that Jamiroquai is making mediocre music, even if you don't like it. They changed their style, for sure, but it's not like they're the cheap pop musicians-wannabes that are everywhere.

and sorry for my bad english xD

  • Honestly, one of the reasons I wanna learn an instrument these days is really b/c of these guys. Maybe drums, maybe bass, maybe a guitar, I dunno but they've given me a good reason to start trying to play one again ;)

  • Good for it Son ;-)

The world needs more funk players.

A really pretty instument to play is the Fender Rhodes piano (there's one on this track)

    It's the sound of lushness.

  • I guess there is not a single song of theirs that doesn't feature a Rhodes piano :D

  • Haha, good point!!

It really is the best instrument created I reckon ;-)

  • Love Jamiroquai , they are timeless

  • groooOOOooovvvVvIiiiiInnnNnnn

  • this song its perfect i love this.

  • fantastick

  • great bass. great song.

  • i LOVE the beginning of this song... Jamiroquai are TOO good

  • Me too, friend.

  • Stuart Zender is KILLIN IT on the bass

  • i"ll second that jazzlith xxx

  • hypnotic. *shivers*

  • Jay Kay is my favorite singer ever! - I love that man!

  • I really wish this guy got more attention here in the states.

  • Yes, but Jamiroquai is the BAND and not the guy - he is Jay Kay ;o)

  • Fuck that commercial garbage.

This is what music is all about!

  • Badass bassline in the chorus.

    Groovy ...

  • this is a great song, drums and bassline are just right!!!!!

  • one of the best songs ever it is so underated not many people who know jamiroquai know this song but i guarantee everybody would fucking love this its an amazing acid jazz bass class song!!!!

  • Sexy, funky song. Jamiroquai should return to this sound, it is desperately needed.

  • i luv tha drums

  • my favourit jamiroquai song since i was 9

  • How can a band make a orgasmic song?!?!

    Seriously, HOW?!?!!

  • OMG !!! This song is great, one of the of best in jamiroquai history. just great

  • where do i get a mp3 from this?

  • u buy the cd "Return of the space cowboy" in ur nearest store...

  • The return of the space cowboy
