Nah, don't listen to them, buddy. This kind of thing takes talent, and it takes a lot less effort to criticize your playing than it takes to play as well as you do. And even if you had "ruined the song" (which you didn't, I think) you can still play the uke, and quite well at that. Lo! if music be the food of love, play on!
