  • I loled so hard when you said Mein Kampf seriously. You have a great sense of humor :D

  • thanks

  • AHAHAHAH You're so funny. I'm actually learning with these lessons, much unlike the others -.-.

  • Now it's time for the exercises.

    OF DOOM.

  • @whyousofat I may be wrong, but Ill try to explain it. Since sentence structure of Japanese sentences are so poor, it is hard to understand what the adjective is describing. Having noun adjectives will help you know that it is describing the noun, instead of another word or verb.

  • I have a hard time learning japanese from animes because they speak too fast i cant understand

  • OF DOOM ... for the win.

  • Omg this is so confusing, what is the diff between regular and noun adjectives? why can't I say kirei-i if i can say yoi??

  • Really digging these lessons but I have to pause and read the text to translate.

  • um in one of the exercises it says kore wa watashi no kirei na shatsu to kimono desu. and you said the translation is this is my clean undershirt and kimono but don't you mean this is my beautiful or pretty undershirt and kimono because kirei mean beautiful right?

  • @kwaiipanda26 it means pretty and clean

  • EXERCISES OF DOOM!

  • "That is my precious book. Mein Kampf."

I laughed so hard. You win.

  • I love your Japanese lessons. You're definitely the best, funny teacher on Youtube. =D Thank you!

  • these excersizes make me laugh. hard.. this is the stupidest learn japanese book i've ever seen. I love it.

  • Thank-You!!!!!

  • "That is my precious book.

    ...

    "Mein Kampf."

    XDDDD

  • omg XD "That is my precious book........ suspanse.... Mein Kampf" fucking hilarious XD

  • I keep confusing "kore" and "sore" for "this" and "that"

  • @killawind1287 "sore" stars with "s", while "this" ends with "s". "this" - "sore", "thisore". Got it? Fine. Now FORGET IT, because "that" is "sore", and "this" is "kore". :-)

  • 1:44 you said Mein Kampf.... YOUR PRECIOUS BOOK? WHAT?

  • You are so funny and helpfull , i am starting to fall in love with you :D

  • This is your Precious undershirt ?!

  • takineko, i have a question 4 u. im getting tht book 4 christmas and tell me, it doesnt talk only about books right o.o

  • @ilovemaplestoryful haha no, not only about books. It's out of print though so it might be hard to find

  • LMAO "Mein Kamf" i laughed at that xD. btw your a very good teacher =) ty for these lessons =)

  • I lolled at "Mein Kampf", that was unexpected. :P

  • XD I have this book, but I still watch your videos to help me learn.

  • taisetsu-na (or just taisetsu idk)means the same as my name so can i use that when i say my name in a sentence or no?

  • mein kampf???? hallo???

  • Have your own Japanese teacher that will teach you the language, virtually "on call" 24 hours a day! See the video - youtube.com/watch?v=wfseANZtMNg

  • omg im really learning! i think its cuz of ur jokes inbetween make me smile. please don't take those out, they make learning a lot funner :D

  • awesome .. i'm really learning .. keep it up :)

  • Haha, "the beds are shaped like hearts!"

I love these lessons, learning things I never did in 101. And you're very funny! =]

  • why book

  • Kore-wa kirei-na yoi hon-de su.

This is a pretty good book.

I hope I said it right :( Please correct me if I said it wrong. I wanna make sure I'm doing the right stuff.

  • @shadowgrail eek, i think you're using the word kirei in a wrong way.

context wise, im not sure tho.

  • I thought beauty was Kyrie? O_o

  • Love it so much! :D Don bother what others say! :D

  • why kita-nai and not kitai-na!? That i does not no where to go lately!!?

  • why kita-nai and not kita-na!?!?!??!??!

  • @ArturoStojanoff wait!!! it's kitanai all together, actually it's lesson's thirteen thing nai it's so confusing the hyphens!!!!!! (don't read these comments)

  • @ArturoStojanoff NO these are all wrong confusing don'tr read!

  • you are great!! hahah I LOVED how you added after "That is my precious book" Mein Kempf... you are HILLARIOUS!!

  • I love your little comments during the exercises (Of dooom) 8D They amuse me. Makes learning Japanese more fun 83

Anyway thanks for these videos <3

  • THanks a lot for the leassons =)

  • Exersizes:

    OF DOOM!

  • 'Yep, yep, it's a shirt' I LOL'D. OMG I LOVE THESE VIDEOS. THANKS YOU!~

    どうもありがとうございます!

  • Takineko can you please tell me the name of the book please??

  • sugoi na!!! domoo arigato gozaimashita...

  • Yeah, she said Main Kampf and as we all know this makes her the reincarnation of Adolf .... with a neat learning disability :D

Some people are just plain dumb.

I lol'ed and appreciate the lesson as did 99.99% of the posters here. Just don't bother with rest ;)

    どうもありがとうございます

  • You all fags get over it she said Mein Kampf! are u gonna cry?? shit people always looking to argue for the most stupid thing.... btw nice lessons takineko

  • I understood the joke, I didn't find it offensive...

Although i'm learning Japanese from other sources this is great stuff :)

    Thanks takineko.

  • U both spelled the book - title wrong (makes me wonder if U really know what u are saying) and comments about learning disability indicate that u just wanna take your crap out on someone else. From over 21000 viewers you 2 are the only ones that didn't understand.

  • Oh don't be offended at them, not everyone can learn the same way.

  • "No my box is not a flat box its a round box i use it hold my hudge bowling balll thats gonna crush u if u dont stop bragging about ur pretty box!"

"i dont understand ur language did u just say this is my precious smooh]thie box that holds my dear precious dirty under wear?" or did u just say i will kill u with my stinky dirty under wear?"

  • about the joke, i don't find it offensive in anyway. people are taking things too seriously. thx for the lesson again!

  • Probably, and no. Any other questions?

  • Nope. :) How about you?

  • Let me help.

She won't understand it unless you say "connexation". :)

  • A joke makes me racist? Sorry if it actually did offend you, but it's not to be taken seriously.

  • I see I see. When I read your comment I assumed this was just someone flaming me trying to pick a fight as well, which is also worrisome. I say alot of jokes in poor taste just to get laughs and to get people to pay attention. This is the first anyone seemed bothered by this joke, I was about to rewatch this video [I made it a long time ago so I didn't remember all I said] just to be sure it didn't sound realistic.

  • I really don't think this falls under hate speech, but thanks for pointing that out.

  • @samruby82 and MRTracer50: you didn't get it did u, and u didn't listen. The way she said the "precious" book sentence it was obvious that she meant the exact opposite of it being precious and if u watched the other lessons (as u said u did) u should have figured that out b4 schoolmastering others.

  • XD thats one funky hotel.

    *clicked subscribe*... OF DOOM!

  • Sorry, WHAT are you saying at 1:44 ?

    Right after the "precious book"?

    It sounds like German...

  • she said "Mein kampf". It is name of a book. Google it!

  • That of doom earned my subscription ROFL

  • still don't why she can't spell exercises right

  • lol you do simple things that are so funny i subscribed youre awesome EXERSIZES OF DOOM XD

  • Or would you say "Anata wa kirei na josei de su"? That is, would you attach the adjective to a noun as in "pretty woman"?

  • If I wanted to say "you are pretty" would I say "anata wa kirei na desu"? Or would I say something like "Kirei na anata wa de su"? does the "na" always have to be paired with the "kirei"?

  • I think you would use the persons name and just say something like "Yuuka-chan, kawaii desu" or even omit "desu", if it's not a very formal situation, which I assume it wouldn't really be. if you wanna use "kirei" then same thing "Yuuka-chan, kirei desu", you don't have to put "na" in there.

  • would be funny if you said "Anata wa kirei na hon de su.

  • LOL the beds are shaped like hearts

  • this is great, i'm actually learning from it

    arigato ^-^

  • Inflexations...?

  • Tira na ...falt :P

  • i love your lessons^^ cant stop laughing, you also sound like my brothers friend(who is actually Japanese :D)

  • Can't stop laughing, seriously xD I would have watched these lessons even if I wasn't trying to learn japanese 8D

  • exercises of doom

  • so to call someone ugly you say anata kitanai

  • Anata wa kitanai de su :)

You forgot verb and particles ^_^

  • it was funny when you said they gave me my own shirt for christmas hahahaha

  • "That is my precious book .. Mein Kampf"

    xDD ROFL WAFFLE

    xx

  • You mean "LUFTWAFFLE".

    Oh snap~

  • lol, I just looked up "luftwaffle" on wikipedia :D

  • Der Fuhrer ist stolz auf Sie

  • it is strange that the alphabet hasnt been introduced

  • There are plenty of other places to go and find/learn/memorize the Japanese alphabets. (hiragano to katakana --- It takes a bit of time, but not too imposible. :) ) Otherwise the point of these videos and exercises are to show the usage and function of the Japanese grammer for the most part.

  • Isn't it HiraganAAAAAA???

  • You are the shiznez ^_^ love your vids

  • OMG OMG OMG I CANT UNDERSTAND XD I CANT LISEN I CANT STUDY BUT I CANT STOP WATCHING OMG AND I SEEN THAT of Doom xD good one

  • haha lmao i like these lessons so much u make them so funny, interesting and usefull im watching'em all

  • exercises - OF DOOM xD

ur comments make it even more fun ^^

  • erm...at 2.20....u should answer it this way

(sore wa ookikute kirei na hoteru desu)

  • I giggled about your reference to the heart shaped bed and discount for couples. きりうりしゅぎ ?

  • Her precious book.. mein Kampf... don't know if that joke is good (I'm german), but except this I like her comments and jokes very much ^_^

  • something is wrong, you have to connect two adjectives together, like ookii ta (or da I CANT REMEMBER BECAUSE ITS BEEN 1 YEAR SINCE MY JAP 2 CLASS LMAO) back to what Im saying ookii ta kirei right? you don't just put it next to each other?

  • wahh! this is getting too confusing.

i think its time 4 me too take a break now.

    lol. thanx 4 uploading!

  • ur lessons r pretty cool. i luv the way u bring in all these jokes, it makes the whole thing kinda simple^^

  • I love how you snuck "of doom" and Mein Kampf in your video. ^^

  • Mein Kampf xPPP

    LoL.. awesome lessons!:D

  • how do you know when to use "ari masen ka?" vs. "de su ne?"?

  • with "ari masen ka", it means "is not?" or along the lines. "desu ne" means "is", but it expects the answer of the other person to agree with them.

ie "soo desu ka" = "is that so? (expecting the answer to be yes)"

  • Mein campf...nice how you slid that in there :p

Erm why do you use kore sometimes and sore in other times...i think you explained it before but i cant remember =/

  • Kore means THIS or THESE, sore means THAT or THOSE. ^^ YAY!!! I ISH SMRT!!! O.o err...SMART.

  • Ah see it all makes sence now! Thank you...and yes you are very smart ^.^

  • 'Kitanai' is a regular adjective, you don't add 'na' to it (watch 1:10).

    Anata-no = yours

Anata-no-wa = yours (being the topic of the sentence, because of 'wa')

  • Exercises.....OF DOOM!

    Lmao, i love it xD

    peace =D x

  • thanks for the videos. really helpful. but i dont get it: why do u say(ookii kirei-na hoteru) with one -na, and (taira-na kirei-na hako) with two -na? (im sorry in case i double posted)

  • b.c ookii is a regular adjective and kirei is a noun adjective. for regular adgectives na isn't necessary

  • how do they decide that ookii(big) is a regular adjective but kirei(pretty) is a noun adjective?

  • lol Idk. Im just learning myself. I guess its just one of those things where you have no choice but to memorize it. like how english has words that sound like other words but with different meaning....I do know this though..usually when the adjective ends in 'n' its followed by 'na' (ex: hen na hito or 'strange person' or kiken na basho or 'dangerous place') I guess kirei is a special case :D

  • wow i just laughed when it said excerize of doom and my bubble gum spitted out cause i forget that i had it in my mouth

  • u always pack something into these lesson that make 'em even funnier than the last one, or im just gettin a bit tired from watchin your videos in a chain:)

  • Is kitanai or kita nai ?

  • same thing

  • DarkKilgorin!!

    sorry!

i marked ur comment as spam by accident! :(

i tried to reply but i missed... i meant to say something like "guys wear kimonos?" i was actually surprised lol

  • Mein Kampf. XD

  • lawls du bist ein richtiger sheiza kampf

  • a Kimono is a type of Japanese dress worn by both women and men at times.

  • I love your shirt parts....and the box. lol

  • "Mein kopf?" What's up with the german

  • Mein Kampf.. xD..

  • Aahahhahahahaeheheheheheyahahahahah!

Your the worst your to funny i have to stop

in the middle of the lessons till i stop

    laughing!^0^)Stop being funny-_-)!

  • i dun understand when u hav to use -na.. lik do the words hav to end with smth be4 u add -na to it?

  • when the adjectves don't end in "i", you use "na"

  • kirei-na?

isnt it the other way around?

  • thx for all this :D ur the best. i took japanese for 4 years then french for 4 and forgot all my japanese, but now its all coming back thanks to u and other studies :D

  • ty 4 all the lessons so far they are hlping out ty

  • haha thanks ive learn a lot from your videos

  • I'm glad they were helpful!

  • Thanks for the lessons, at 2:10 you translated the sentence "This is my clean undershirt and komono" Did you mean to finish it with komono or the english equivalent of dress or clothes? Im still learning so i could be way off base?? Thanks

  • well my book is really old so I don't know how accurate it is, but they're using kimono as an equivalent for clothes.

  • i'm sorry but i had to pause it and laugh because the funny weird stuff you said but, this is really helping me thank you! ^^

  • i mean look at 2:21 u said ookii kirei-na cant u say ookii to kirei-na? like big and pretty?

  • I believe.. you don't even have to say "to" in some cases, but I think you're correct.

  • when do you know when to use '-na' or not?

  • can you combine the adjectives? like Sore-wa watashi-no kirei to taisetsu-na hon desu? i mean you said something like kirei, taisetsu-na so couldnt u just combined the two adjectives together with to?

  • that is my precious book-mine komfe

    BAHAHAHAHAHA!!

  • koniichiwa, domou arigatou gozaimasu! anata makes learning of nihogo fun. pardon my limited japanese

  • yaay for Janglish!

  • do anata speak janglish?

  • si.

  • ±0 I thought i was the only one on earth who could speak it

  • Just a question, don't you need くて(or something) between two adjectives?

それは あおい くて おおきい 車 だ。

Or is it unnecesary for casual form?

  • Excercises of doom xDDDDD hahahahaha

  • this is awesome. I am actually learning and having fun at the same time.

  • Mein Kampf! =D

    <333

    YAY!

  • I absolutely love your stuff. I have learned so much that I didnt know. Thank you! Your stuff is hilarious btw. :D

  • OMG thanks so much for posting this its awsome I'm learning so much. I'm a noob at Japanese, but I one day hope to master it! Domo arigato gazaimasu!

  • Mein Kanfe! Ha ha! It sounded like U thought of that at That moment! Pretty original! I like your lessons, but i don't really get the whole in just a few minutes! I'll have to view them again so i can make notes. ^^

  • hhhhhhh....

ohhh man you are the best hhh...

''that is my precious book-mine komfe'' hhhhh

  • I really enjoy your lessons, thank you. Do you live or have you lived in Japan?

  • nope.

  • I`ve lived here for about a year now. Since your Japanese is pretty good you should live here for a while, you`ll get a lot out of being able to converse in Japanese. Just a thought.

  • <
