Tim just doesn't suit acoustic versions. He has one of the best most unique voices in music but acoustic doesn't work.

I think it's just fine.

Most people can't even get into his voice on the normal recordings!  That's why when a song like "into action" comes out, there ends up being an alternate version.

I don't think the mainstream consumer knows how to react to his style.
