I had this happen. Correct me if i'm wrong but, I was heading here to go on "Soarin" and there was a HUGE crowd outside the doors. No one was going in and we asked what happened. Their reply: "Fire evacuation, we'll open in about 20 or so minutes". Come back "@0 0r so minutes" later and we finally go inside. I was JUST about to get in line when the alarms went off and we had to evacuate the entire building just like this. weird huh?

Was this in June 2007? Because if so I believe this was my first day of training at The Land and I was in that theatre with you! It was a false alarm but I considered it as my induction to WDW!

That would be around the time I started! That's hilarious, we actually had another fire alarm about a month later and I was quite used to that sound. The people at Soarin' that had been waiting for hours were not happy, to say the least. From what I was told the fire alarm was caused by the Lands fire detection system, which looks for heat or flames in scenes. It is often fooled by the heatlamps in the desert scene or brush fire in the prairie scene.

I am in the UK, We were in our shopping centre called white rose. Yeah, everyting was normal until we walked into a shop and the fire alarms went off the security guides were gathering their walkie talkies and gathering at the repeat panel when it said there was a bomb scare! later on the whole buildings PA system evacuate message sounded, this wasn't any old evacuation! apparently the system malfunctioned because the fire exits are automatic and they didnt open

We were just sat down to watch the Circle of Life film. The curtains opened, and then the alarm went off and the film didn't start. Everyone just sat there with a "err, what do we do?" look on their face, and then after a while a cast member appear at the bottom of the theatre to lead us out to where the video was taken. Then up the stairs and out. We had to wait about 20 minutes until the all clear was given and we could go back in.

Nope, no idea. What surprised me was they left all the ovens and spitroasters turned on in the Food Court area.

Poor people that had queued for 90 minutes for Soarin' and then had to leave!
