  • this never happened to the other fellow..

  • I love how this opening shows scenes from Connery movies, is just so awesome. One of my favorite Bond opening ever

  • I thought this was so awesome with the technology, it seemed like it was a 2000-present intro.

  • Lazenby is a git. Meh.

  • nice would have liked a bond in scandinavia,...

  • the other summer i decided to watch all the bond movies in chronological order. sure, i remembered quite a few of them but only for some particular sequences. i hadn't seen on her majesty's secret service before though and i was expecting the worst bond movie ever (you know what they say about lazenby's performance) yet it turned out one of the best. i had thought the idea of bond's getting married was crazy but it proved a solid love story with a moving ending.

  • @JaroWars Nearly the same thing happened to me. I had never seen OHMSS due to the bad press, but decided to watch them all in order on a whim. Although I still believe Connery to be the best Bond actor, this film ended up being close to, if not, my absolute favourite of the series. The love story was exceptional & who could ever possibly forget that ending?

  • Epic line for an epic movie.

  • lazenby is my favorite bond, i hate myself for judging this guy based on other peoples opinions and never having seen the film. once i saw it i really enjoyed lazenby and i wish he had never been replaced with roger moore.

  • I didn't realize there was a Bond movie with no opening vocal song

  • @victoriaindigo Actually, from Russia with loves intro was an instrumental aswell.

  • @victoriaindigo The movie included a vocal song by Louis Armstrong, "We Have All the TIme in the World". Notice the clock in the title sequence.

Also, Bond spent a LOT of time with Contessa Teresa di Vicenzo (Diana Rigg), yet the tragedy in the end cuts a 'lifetime together' quite short.

  • Kind of interesting how the clock and hourglass kind of reflect "We have all the time in the World"...

  • @cpatmaier Yet, the hourglass foreshadows the finite amount of time, or that time is running out.

    Binder is a genius.

  • One of the best Bond films ever, and truthfully Lazenby wasn't that bad.

  • Lazenby rocks

  • Proper.

  • THIS WAS THE BOND FILM EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OF THE OLD ONES AT LEAST LOL!!!!!!! WORST EVER WAS QUANTAM OF SOLACE

  • @Glendal1988 ummm...have you watched Diamonds are Forever, Moonraker, or A View to a Kill? And your saying this is worse then those movies? Like its your opinion but really?

  • @AvengedS939 While I agree with you on Diamonds and Moonraker, I honestly can't see why everyone hates View. Yes the plot was bad at parts and Moore was way too old for the part, but there are some true golden moments in it. The final fight ontop of the golden gate bridge is still one of my favourite ending fights for a Bond film, and Christopher Walken is the creepiest villian Bond will ever fight against in my opinion.

  • @TheOnComingStorm121 Yeah, I love Christopher Walken, he will always be one of my most favorite Bond villians, hes a crazy and sick son of a bitch haha. And the fight was not that great in my opinion, just a decent one in.Even Moonraker and Diamonds are Forever had some moments a lot of people remember, but still those moments don't save the movies from being poor

  • @AvengedS939 Yeah you have a point, even Die another Day had it's moments...Abite very tiny ones, such as the sword fight and John Cleese as 'Q'. To be brutally honest my favourite film, despite it's faults, is Tomorrow Never Dies.

  • @TheOnComingStorm121 yep view to a kill was not the best but i agree with avenged it did have its moments and for me the fab grace jones made the film as mayday she just played the part so tounge in cheek and camped it up yep her acting aint the best in the world but hey she played it for laughs i think .... lets face it she was more manly than roger moore and the scen where he seduces her made me slit my sides lol but i do love her to bits!

  • @AvengedS939 View to a Kill was BEAST!

  • @AvengedS939 How can you not like Moonraker? It's so fun and action-packed.

  • @Glendal1988 I agree with quauntum of shitless, by far the worst ever Bond film made, it's not even a 'bond film' in my eyes. just a piece of crap. Ian Fleming would be ashamed of what they're doing to his Bond legacy.

  • @amarsbarr You got to understand a few things about why the movie was not as good. One big thing was this was during the writers strike, and they lost a good amount of writers, they even had to have Daniel help with writing some of the scenes, also this was a direct sequel to Casino Royal which was just finishing that story, not starting a whole new one.

  • If I had never even heard of Bond films, this opening would have me hooked immediately

  • No dislikes GREAT!!!

  • 0 people are the other fella.

  • @789123Y 0 people works at the CIA

  • Diana Rigg will look better if she is shown nude at the opening credit..bond girls are beautiful and sexy..nothing sexy here.

  • best opening to a bond movie ever its undeniable ;-)

  • The opening statement is pure movie MAGIC ... the theme is one of the best Barry creations ... AND George Lazenby did a much better job than given credit at the time. He came closer to filling the huge shoes of Connery than the playful, tip-toeing Sir Roger Moore !! (Though I did like Live and Let Die, with the Paul McCartney theme, the New Orleans setting, and the cabbie telling Bond, "lighten up, JIM...")

  • @raiderdanCA What the fuck are you talking about? Roger Moore was one of the best. Maybe not as good as Connery, but certainly better than Lazenby.

  • @JackSkellington36 .... hmmm ... looks like 5 people agree with me, then there's little ole trash talking you. Everybody gets an opinion. Share yours wherever you like ... but Moore fought like a girl -- that's why the stunt guy had to pull triple duty in "his" milquetoast films.

  • @raiderdanCA Whatever you say, man. I just think Moore was pretty cool. Don't have to get all sensitive or anything. It's just my opinion.

  • @JackSkellington36 ... I hear you. How about this: Sean Connery was the best Bond, and Christian Bale IS Batman !

  • @raiderdanCA Couldn't have put it better myself ;)

  • THANK YOU! Finally someone who doesn't cut what he's saying on the beginning.
