  • Awesome video. Makes me want another 7. What was the music at the very start of the clip?

  • Welcome to my playground !! I have a Westfield, and those are some of the best roads in the country bar none !!!!. Great film even better soundtrack........

  • Ha! The Google Streetview camera passes at 2.57!

  • Really nicely made video. It makes me want to go and drive those roads!

  • Of all the caterham and westfield videos i've watched... which seems to be almost all of them. I enjoyed this one the most! I never comment on vids but liked this one enough to let you know how good I thought it was! Good job!!

  • Good job ! I Like the cars, the landscapes, the images and the edition !

Thanks for the share of this video

  • Nicely done. Thoroughly enjoyed that. Hope you keep enjoying those roads - some sit on my doorstep and they are great :0)

  • I have just bought a red seven, and these are some of my favourite roads, so I was going to like this video anyway. But more than that, I thought it was really well filmed and edited. Really enjoyed it!

  • Great video!

  • One more question... Did you crop the photos for the time lapse to make them match the HD size or did you export the time lapse as 1920x1080?

  • @ponsholm Sorry for the delay in replying, haven't been near a computer for a bit. To answer your questions:

    1. I used a piece of software called Timelapse Assembler for the mac to make the time lapse footage. From memory I believe I was shooting at 1 shot every 2 seconds and transformed it to 30fps, meaning that a 10 second clip was gleaned from about 10 minutes of filming, so it really didn't take all that long.

  • @ponsholm

    2. I didn't consciously crop the photos to change the aspect. I created the iMovie project at 16:4 ratio, however I'm not sure if it crops the footage or compresses it to this ratio to fit.

NB- Youtube doesn't seem to be allowing me to paste the URL for the software, but if you google Timelapse Assembler+Mac you should be able to find the software I used. I think its excellent and really easy to use.

    Cheers.

  • Quick question: What tools did you use for time lapse (software and pics per minute/hour) and did you import this .mov into iMovie for editing?

  • Loved Sevens for 40 years, now at 55 you have made my mind up, Im having one. Fantastic video and music.

  • Brilliant!

  • Finally someone who could match a great video with a great song, Thank you!!!!!!

  • Awesome and artistic!

  • What a great video! You just can't beat that superb scenery and the whole Caterham 'buzz'.

  • Great video, some really cracking photography!

  • great footage and camera work! :D

  • Wow! - you went to a lot of effort to make this! It's brilliant!! Great locations too. From a fellow Caterham owner.

  • Great vid. Driven across Wales plenty of times, must make a detour through the mountains some time.

  • Brilliantly shot, well edited, perfect music choice, terrific car, and not a bad driver either! Well done mate, this is great stuff.

  • So, so, so, so awesome.

  • I know those roads. Snowdonia & Evo Triangle are heaven for trips with my beloved Caterham. Congratulations ! Great Shots ! Great Video !

  • Thanks all for the very positive comments!

  • Brilliant video, must have taken you ages to put together but well worth the effort, thank you!

  • I love the look on your face at 3:28 as the weather looks like it's about to turn - been there many times!! Great video, really nicely edited :)

  • @NiknakMotorsport Cheers! Was actually looking at a pair or fighter jets that came screaming up the valley towards at that point- if you look closely you can just spot one of them!

  • Excellent video. Makes me really miss my Caterham!!

  • Brilliant!

  • Outstanding video - very nicely done ;-)

  • Great video, some good camera angles and it really shows what fun it is in a Caterham !

  • really nicely put together vid - you have a feel for it! what have you used to create the panning timelapse - presumably automatic tripod head?

    well done.

  • @mikurec Hi- nothing so complicated as that- simply put the GoPro camera on top of a cheapo kitchen egg timer. Rotates 360 degrees in an hour so gives a good effect when played back as a time lapse. Never managed anything like 360 degrees mind as it would invariably fall off well before that!

  • Brilliant video! There's loads of Caterham vids on YT but this is so much better than nearly all of them. Well done. If I ever get round to making one (a video that is, I have the car) then you've set a very high standard for others to follow, but I don't mean 'copy'. It's hard to be critical just keep it up. More!

  • Love it! I'm a Caterham 7 owner in S. Wales and know many of these roads well. Pop in for a cuppa next time you're out this way.

  • nice one

  • Excellent video, well constructed! Proper job! :-)
