those look like traxxas telescoping driveshafts. i could be wrong but i thought the rc10's had dogbones or universal shafts. and while it may be powerful, there is a voltage rating on those motors. and its well below 14.4. freakin fast though!!!
they are a team truck drive shaft....just made by some one else. the rear a arms are made to give room for them. its an after market version that is no longer avail
i know about the voltage ratings....i used to race team trucks back when they first came out...this guy is my child hood that im flashing back to now that im 38...its nice to flash back to what you had :)
They should make the motors now with a prop on the drive shaft to keep the motor cool imagine the benefits of having the prop with the motor ticking over at 80k rpm or more :)
Do you realize your rear tires are on backwards? Those have a directional tread pattern, the rears aren't matching the fronts. Put the left one on the right and vice versa, then you're good to go. ;)
for this fooling around...it really didnt mater ...its not like i was doing 50 around corners with it...lol...was non around to try with out a curb :)
I've build something similar to this, almost same gearing too. Fast but had to change motor after almost every run because it just burned out. That gave me the shits.
HI . A word of advise ; 1 - when you use a battery pack like the one you were using try to use a smaller pinion gear than the one the truck normally use ( around 2 thru 4 tooth smaller ) . 2 - try to hook up a cooling fan on your speed control ( 200+ degrees its a big no no on a speedo ) . 3 - go to a huge parking lot on a sunday when the stores are close or at night time ( there is plenty of room and you won't hit anything other than a light pole or you self ) .
i thought i was tripping there really are geese in that video

yeah...but it was still fun though...just wanted to see what it would do...i was still shocked that the motor lasted that long!!!
customcolorauto 10 months ago
Woohoo! That looks like at least 40/45mph! Nice. Risky though to use a non lipo sensing ESC. :-o
But yeah! 14.4 volts! That's close to 12 Nicads power wise. B¬)
