It is open D. Look it up on You Tube to learn how. Its very simple and opens up doors if your into slide guitar

I use open D tuning: E=D, A=A, D=D, G=F#, B=A, E=D. I use a metal slide, actually you have to use a glass slide on acoustic but metal sounds a bit sharper which I like more for this song.
