You are correct that you need some extra -webkit- action on those gradients. :)

The Lea Verou's pattern but is really cool!
I was wondering, when you guys copy and pasting pattern code from her website, the code has -webkit and the pattern works right away when applied.
But when I were to do it myself, on her website, the code does not have this -webkit at the front. I need to manually add it.
I think Chrome sometimes does not understand the css style without -webkit.
