@BrissoParrothead No worries... it's a sweat getting hold of these clips... so many of them are hidden or lost forever. Now all I need is the video for 'Let It Rock'!
i shared some saturday nights with daryl and aussie but for ten years
i shared saturday night in my house at 15 grant road newhaven and on good
advice iwas taught our shirl the curl built it with frends , i thought about buying a helicopter or getting my pilots licence but i took shirls advice and kept my swellgrounds at home
The costumes Skyhooks are wearing here are my favourites ... the guys look brilliant ... especially the make-up ... Red Symons in particular ... absolutely brilliant! RIP Shirl
Is this the right fashion dress like a nincompoop on stage? No offense. I may heard this song before (not really) but I'm not sure youn hear it on "K97" or "Serias Classic Vinyl"!
Bogercs, you've probably spent too long in the Tundra freezing your skinny arse, chill out a bit, the Skyhooks were a great band check out their other songs, it's all about having a good time.
I might've heard some of thier songs which are good right! I've seen better performances of bands in cool costumes but dressing up in a monkey outfit looking like a halfwit isn't one of them! I know you might like that kinda style ofcoarse We all think the skyhooks make good music and we all cherish this sort of rock and if you like really good rock, you might like "Cheap Trick" or some other style rock artists!
These were the days when Red Symonds was first rate musician, before he became resident clod/buffoon on Hey Hey. Nothing wrong with being a clown - after all the Hooks were all about fun. He just should pay more attention to his musical talent. I remember playing this on the jukebox at Manly in '75.
You're only as old as the guy who feels ya! LOL Hey, you're not old....I'm 45, and I was 13 and in my first year of high school when the 'Hooks kicked my hometown of Melbourne up the arse! At that time, you either loved Sherbet - or Skyhooks - and I idolised these guys... I used to spend hours locked up in my room with these guys blasting on the stereo! I never got tired of listening to their killer riffs! I had a huge crush on 'Shirl the curl'!
I was 13 too. Man they rocked my world back then and they still do today. Best darn music there is.
I spent hours in my room too.
Festival Hall, Yarra Bank, Geelong Show Ground, The Palaise - St Kilda, The Exhbition Building anywhere anytime. Met them all, talked to Freddie for half and hour on the phone one day before a concert...great days.
I'm a quite old woman(43) and I began to listen to Skyhooks when I was 14. The years go quickly by....
Skyhooks were (are) not that well known in Sweden, but I had a classmate from Canada who lent me her Ego...LP. Loved it!
Fell in love with this band and it's lyrics, guitarsound and most of all the vocals of Shirley! At that time I didn't have these videos to watch. I'm so grateful to all of you who put out videos on YouTube! Thanks!
Are you wondering, like Bongo was; Davina are yoy blond?!
Skyhooks used to play alot at the Palais Theatre( next to Luna Park) and also festival Hall( near Telstra dome,Melbourne). Went to their last concert in 1983 and it was fantastic. Also at Festival Hall (apr 30th)
thx Noz - well done!

Hey all you Melbourne Skyhooks Fans, Hi from Di. I was there at Festival Hall, the Palais, the Yarra Bank, Geelong Showgrounds.
Used to go out to Tullamarine to meet the plane, and saw them off at Flinders Street Station.
I bet alot of you guys were there too. Great Days, Greatest Band Ever.

Red Symons (guitarist) often reminds me of the guitarist from the Sensational Alex Harvey Band.
