  • Floriano was owned by Melanie Pai before Laurelyn Browning. He was owned by Melanie when they were qualifying for the olympics and during WEG.

  • Perfection . Love this rider, love this horse

  • A piaffe is a trot in place no forward movement at all, a passage is almost a passage but taking very small steps while going foward, smaller steps than a collection.

I love this rider, he makes it look so easy. Many years from now I hope to be at Grand prix level but not for a very, very long time! lol

  • Its called Passage. Sedona, the horse I lease, did that in her stall before a show. It was so cool!

  • oooohhh!! i LOOOOVE THIS! hey, i cant remember but..whats it called when a horse trots 'on the spot'? i cant remember! but its beautiful!

  • Piaffe, isn't it?

  • yes

  • yeppp(:

  • absolutely wonderful!! even his walk is "big", thanks for sharing

  • I love this horse! He's so light and floaty on his feet!

  • I'm talking about musical kurs in general. That's what people generally do if they want to be conservative. when someone takes a video and puts some of their own music to it, it's not a kur. it's a home made video, LOL.

  • Actually, this is the music that was playing at the competition. It was not added later. It would not be my selection!

  • "i can't stand the elevator music"

The ride is judged on how well the horse matches the music, and how well the horse keeps the rhythm of the music - so many competitors choose somewhat 'conservative' music - meaning, music with a very steady beat.

  • You are aware of that this is not a kür?

  • "Flori" was imported by Canaan Ranch, in Texas. He was the coolest horse to ride! Only problem with him was his left hind leg, he had a nerve problem so that if you didnt get someone to support him when his feet were getting picked up he'd almost fall over. Otherwise he was such a sweety!

  • LOL! I have been doing dressage all my life, and i STILL let the judges decide which one is the best - my job is to just enjoy every ride!

  • Wow, Floriano really has a HUGE trot! Beautiful to watch. I suppose this was the Grand Prix or Grand Prix Special? What was their score?

  • This was the Grand Prix test in the competition. They scored 74.458. You can compare this to Peters ride on Lombardi in the 2007 Nationals, also on my channel.

  • ugh!! hez soo good!! man i can only do maybe a couple things he did!! nd Floriano looks like my old TB! jhow wierd!!

  • GAH!!! I'm so jealous.....

  • yep he's good but i've seen better such as anky van grunsven and andreas helgstrand

  • gorgeous! but the music makes me feel like i'm on hold.

  • Love the video

  • I adore Mr. Peters and have seen him a few times at expos here in Oregon. I think he is a wonderful rider and one of the best in the world. (Next to Anky of course *wink* ). Nice video!

  • That was a nice round

but I cant stand the elevator muisc!

  • Lovely - what a great team.

  • Steffen Peters and Floriano (owned by Laurelyn Browning), Courtney King and Idocus (owned by Christine McCarthy), Leslie Morse and Tip Top 962 (owned by Morse), and Catherine Haddad and Maximus JJS (owned by the Janet S. Schneider Trust) will be representing the United States at the 2007 World Cup in Las Vegas later this April.

  • amazing trot! looks hard to sit though.

  • well you basically can't do jumping without your basic dressage

  • beautiful horse, and amazing performance

  • beautiful!just great!

  • yep i think sooooooo showjumping rulez

  • mae dressage yn diflas!(boring)

  • You must have been searching for Grand Prix jumping! Different sport!

  • BTW, Peters and Floriano Grand Prix Special ride from the 2006 National Dressage Championships is also posted on this website. The one above is the Grand Prix test.

  • Mr. Peters placed 4th in the Grand Prix Special, and placed 6th in the freestyle (Kur) with a 78.6 in the 2006 World Equestrian Games. This combination is one of the best in the world! Congratulations!

  • I was at the WEG this past week and I was able to watch his warm up which went beautifully but unfortunalty his actual test didnt measure up to the other spectacular horses there and his freestlye was a little boring comparably speaking, but i still love them!

  • This a truly awesome team. Fluid ride in Mr. Peters hands. They also had beautiful freestyle that should "hit it out of the park" at the WEG's in Aachen!
