The total country is officially named the Netherlands. For example I live in the northeast, I am not a Hollander but a Nederlander. in the netherlands we except all people emo rocker hiphoper black white gay straith bi. we have legal druks and offcourse de wallen. we have the one off the best football teams:) have a nice laidback attitude, if not the best painters in the world. our country is nice and flat we have a huge history. so because of this i am proude to be a dutch man and always come back to this:)

I went to Amsterdam for vacation last summer. One word: DISAPPOINTED. Seriously, most boring place ever!!! clubs close sooo fucking early, and the Dutch are soooooooo annoying and all they wanna do is talk politics. Holland sucks nuts!!!!1

@MrBastilleCreole we have some folk music, but its kind of modern. "wat zullen we drinken" (what shall we drink) is a good song. as is "allen die zullen te kaap'ren varen". that are two very famous ones. the "wilhelmus" our national anthem. I dont know any more, but there are more. mayby knows more.

For example it's only a very tiny little percentage of the Dutch people who interfere in Prostitution and Drugs the most of the users are foreigners because at home its strictly forbidden. I stayed in Utrecht for 2 weeks long, its an inspiring city..., I promise I'll be back for my further study, 3 weeks is not enough in Holland.. I miss Koffieverkeerd and stroopwafel at Alberheijn, but I dont miss 'Honing Drop' ;) ....

@utadnowa holland has to rewrite the national anthem because honoring the king of spain has nothing to do with dutch patriotisme and pride. the national anthem doesnt speak about holland it's history and people. it talk about being of german blood. after world war 2 the distruction of the country and people. the starvation of the population at that time is further proof that the national anthem has to be rewritten.

@princefarai I disagree, the Anthem speaks of ''Duytschen bloed'', also known as Dietsen, which was a language spoken in Holland/Brabant/Limburg/Gelderland, which is one of the 2 old dutch languages not to confuse with ''duits'' (which does mean ''german'' in present Dutch).
Second, about honoring the kind of spain, it says: ''Loyal to our fatherland, untill death. A prince of Orange(national colour), I am without fear, as I have always honored the king of hispania''. (which we did in the past)

"wat zullen we drinken" (what shall we drink) is a good song. as is "allen die zullen te kaap'ren varen". that are two very famous ones. the "wilhelmus" our national anthem. I dont know any more, but there are more. mayby knows more.

@juultjuh99 Yeah they definitely achieved something by conolizing the world, although it wasn't always the right thing to do, we did a lot of bad things during colonization, just like everyone else. I don't really see the world as a western creation, although there's been a lot of western influence everywhere around the world, but that's mainly in technology. I stayed in Utrecht for 2 weeks long, its an inspiring city..., I promise I'll be back for my further study, 3 weeks is not enough in Holland..
