Hope you can get the third movement up. Also, by the other videos you've uploaded, I see you like Zelda(which is also my favorite game series). I play some Zelda songs on my viola. X3
Words cannot explain the love of this piece that I have. It is so amazing just a wonderful piece of music. That is why I am so dying to play because I love to play a piece that flows through me that I feel you know?(I am sure half of you don't might think that is gay?)
To play this piece would be the best. Which is why I am going to buy it.
@mhunterjumper I sooooo know what you mean. I am also a fellow violist and I do look for pieces that are you know for us. It really is a shame that there isn't that many because a viola is a beautiful instrument (hello that is why I am playing it)!!!!!!!! So when I saw this viola sonata all I could say it where and how can I get it!!!!!!
@mattz2000 Wish I had enough skill to play this. =_= Violists don't really get challenged at all and it's kind of become forgotten. More people need to know that violins and cellos aren't all there is.
@mhunterjumper If you like Shostakovich he has a sonata. there is also telemann, hindemith, walton, bartok, rolla, forsyth and seitz that all have concertos. glazunov and bruch have a couple viola songs, as does faure. hope that helps
there are a lot of pieces out there for viola that aren't contemporary. They aren't even hard to find. Look up in ebay viola sheet music and there's this cd with 6,600 pages of it for 10 bucks.
If you like that time frame, then you might also be interested to hear about, if you haven't already, the Glinka Viola Sonata in d minor. Very amazing!
very beautiful

Bach's Brandenburg Concerto 6 is a fun concerto to play, scored for two violas.

You can get it from Frank Music Company, Shar Music, or you can probably download it from International Music Score Library Project.
