its a good idea to put swami vivekananda's speech on youtube.it will definitely have positive effects on the young crowd.i dont think dis is original voice as i have never heard of such recording.there are many sill photographs of swamiji but no such recordings or video exists.but still i think this is a very good step.

@giinhhakha Yes, this is Fake, i noticed the same that girl voice is too modern and the person who is impostor of Vivekanand ji is completely fake coz his discourse is utterly nonsense. Vivekanand ji talked about the Universal Divine knowledge , he did not went there to promote Hindu religion but the vedas and teaching of Geeta.

@yogeshpareek59 No. RK Math says there is no original recording of Swamy's. This is by some Subir Ghosh, but yes, a magnetic voice.

when I visited Chicago in 2000 along with a local Indian we failed to locate the place where swami vivekananda delivered this historic speech-'breathes there the man who never to himself hath said 'this is my land'

Wow..Its amazing to hear his resounding voice. I could imagine how he reached out to the millions. His explanation of Hinduism is by far the best I have heard next to Bhagavat Gita. Dont forget to notice his english fluency. Just amazing..Salute to someone who made my life better...

@2003carthy Many native Indians spoke beautiful English because India was a British Colony, was ruled by the British. Ever heard of Ghandi? I listened for one reason, to hear somone speaking over 100 years ago, someone who wasn't Henry Ford or Thomas Edison.

This ain't Vivekananda's voice coz no recorders were used in the parliament of Religions far back in 1893. It is dubbed by someone else who had recited the Vivekananda's Response to Welcome speech on the 100th birth centenary of Vivekananda. No record of his voice exists is confirmed by RK Missions.

WHO is actually speaking? Since a microphone is clearly in use here, decades before its invention, this could not have been recorded in 1893 when the phonograph was in it's infancy.

the greeting " Sisters and Brothers of America..." was followed
by several minutes of applause. Gandhi himself was a devotee
and I believe that Swamiji and Sri Ramakrishna together

Wheather the video is correct or wrong, why do we waste our time in silly notions & researches. We must concentrate on what he said. How can we make it relevant & how can we make our heart vibrate for nation like thee's. Swamij is like that beautiful river originating from feets of Kali made to flow by Thakurji.In whomsoever heart it's water seeps he or she has to move on the path of enlightment even greater than self',for nation. Swamiji made us realise what our nation is & how much is it glorious to take birth here.
