  • It's a beautiful thing to see the like/dislike bar lit up all green!

  • The bridge of this is nearly exactly the same as a Dexy's Midnight Runners song. Haha, who'd have thought?

  • Where was this?

  • how this band goes grunge to pop/rock?

  • This is amazing stuff on ya Daniel and Paul!

  • I'm so happy silverchair have started making records that don't suck again.

  • @MikoSquiz When did they make an album that did suck?

  • @MikoSquiz yeah u must not be a real fan of music or siverchair.. never heard an album that sucked from them LOLOLOL .. good comment idiot]

  • change, in principle, is usually good. but when it sounds like bland, banal, pop crap then maybe it isn't. this is truly awful music!

  • This isn't awful music. There are worse out there. And who made you listen to this in the first place???

  • @rootsraf i wouldnt say its bad. just not my usuall taste. i prefer them to be some form of rock. doesnt have to be grunge. but ive seen a few "new songs" for 2010 on youtube and im worried that the new album is going to be more electronic and poppy..... i hope to god its not. ill be back when they start doing rock again

  • muito boa musica..

  • i dont get why people rip on silverchair for "changing" their sound. how fucking boring would music be if you made one record and had to keep making it over and over again? grow up, they obviously did.

  • Daniel Johns remind me of the great 60's / 70's musicians, I know that he has said that he draw a lot of inspiration from band of that era but you can hear those influences with his own twist on it. There aren't many musicians like that today. Constantly evolving and so versatile.

  • Beautiful :)

  • Just not a good opinion! :-P

  • indeed that is a bad opinon ur just some hard rock fan

(nothing wrong with that i love that stuff to) that just wants to hear heavy guitar riffs and not give a damn about the lyrics

  • some people change... i'm sorry if you dont...

  • listen to it 10 times and you'll find yourself waking up with random YM songs in your head and wanting to listen to them. they're all great songs, believe me.

    or not.

    just my opinion.

  • I agree. I am so glad that they made a comeback.

  • @gizziesgirl00 they've never left

  • @gizziesgirl00 a come back.. they have released there last few albums in the same time span... one of the best bands ever.. nevre a come back.. always the best. thanks

  • nice song.

  • wonderful

    Long life silverchair!

  • great! i'll buy another album from them soon. young modern launch....

  • So talentous musicians... Great song.

  • silverchair kip it real stand 4 it u wont regret it ...its cool tnx

  • awesome!

  • Bets album of the year! Its nice to see musicians grow up , write better music and lyrics and leave music that can be as profound as the beatles. This is actually up there!

  • Thank GOD for Daniel, one of the saviours of pop/rock...cheers mate!

  • Best album of 2007.

  • The drummer looks scarily like my ex! haha...went to see them at Brixton last night and it was AMAZING!!

  • How awesome was it, they rocked my socks off ... i'm reminising now!!! haha! Brixton is a great venue too!!!

  • It's not a fact of fixing what is broken, it's about playing what they want and feel like at the time of writing and recording. It's a reflection of the different times of their lives, every album has been different to reflect that.

  • reminds me of some modern version of a "would have been" beatles song. i love how silverchair has evolved and outgrew the shaping and molding of limited images and sounds that many others cannot outgrow.

  • I think the new Silverchair stuff is decent, but it's not GREAT. Neon Ballroom and Diorama were GREAT. They try far too much to CHANGE each album. Why fix what isn't broken?

  • too much talk

  • it's called progression. If there isn't a change it can be something like burnout on the same formula. I've always been impressed with Silverchair since I was in middle/high school rocking out to Tomorrow.

  • listen to dissociatives. you'll understand a bit more

  • after you listen to this album 3 times, it's stuck in your head. i'm with you laurence265. doesn't ben (drummer) look like john bohnam!!

  • yeah I like this song.. listen to the young modern album 3 times and you appreciate all the songs more and more.. their songs are kinda happy and peaceful and interesting like old style music.. and I'm a industrial metal fan lol.

  • Great post, a beautiful song by a great oz band!

  • closer than anything has ever resembled...

  • GRUNGE NOT DEAD

  • dont feel bad just cuz u cant sing this song... daniel has his own voice style and this song is hard to sing for him as well, as we can listen. however if you compose one song with your style of voice maybe daniel wouldnt be able to sing it also. an egg.. daniel is doesnt sing well at lower notes :)

  • silverchair are the best band ever. no arguments.

  • this is fucking amazing daniel is a GOD!

  • John Lennon is looking down from Rock heaven loving this....Its not a Lennon classic but the influence is definately felt....no longer and empty garden thankyou...John...Thankyou Daniel...

  • And greatness becomes them, always evolving they are totally Oz.

  • I always find myself wanting to sing to this song. Hm. Shock. :P
