I get uploading the soundtrack as fast as possible, but some people (maybe I will) need to make more extended versions of these songs. One minute and 22 seconds doesn't do this song justice. And the only reason why these shortened songs exist is the fact that when soundtracks are made they try to cram the max amount of songs on the fewest cds.

It needs to run at least for three to five minutes to get the full effect. I made a extended version of a Soul Hackers song and it came out flawlessly.

@BuddHA0991 Yeah the people at ATLUS were geniuses with the way they intertwined Jungian psychology and frames of reference and all these concepts together. I am pretty sure they did it intentionally. I think in the theme for Nyarlathotep the chorus sounds like it's reciting his name too.

There's also the issue of the Holy Spear Knights serving as apostles, etc. Personally, I think it's really clever and not exactly in-your-face. If Atlus really was afraid of this being taken very wrongly, back in the day, this seems like an adequate reason.

the homosexuality in persona 2 was really mild, completely optional and it could've been edited out of the western release way too easily.

personally, I think it was good to offer that choice--it is a ROLE PLAYING game after all, something which JRPGs tend to forget. Megaten has always allowed your choices to shape yourself and the world, which is why it's one of my favourite JRPG series.

Many JRPGs involve you carrying around a character with a pre-made personality, Star Ocean, Eternal Sonota, Final Fantasy IX (One of my all-time favorite games by the way) etc. Unless there's some deeper reason and the character you play as reflects anyone with the motivation to the play the game, it's not good storytelling. But not only is the character in Megaten speechless, a blank slate, but you can make vital decisions through him and shape the story for yourself.

Ultimatly I think it didnt cross over to NA becuase it has a mature tone to it in general, idealogically and litterly - as opposed to any one reason. And as we know from the games pumped out now days, NA tends to target younger audiences that wouldent be interested in half the feeling and thought put into a game like this.

Though of course, Shadow Lisa admitting that she whored herself out and did drugs probably would please the Rating council :D
