I love this particular Psycho theme because it is really combined. It is not loose and old sounding. The violins sound nice. I feel as if I am in a large Victorian home with scarlet or garnet fabric made of velvet covering the walls...sort of like in Return of the Sorcere with Vincent Price...Night Gallery.

it was pretty much tha hitchcock version but they jus brought up to date, which defeats tha purpose. why remake sumthin that exists w/o doin sumthin different. dats why i like texas chainsaw remake n halloween. aint seen friday the 13th yet but herd good things tho

I can agree with that. Some people judge remakes by how faithful it stays to the original, but an exact duplicate isn't necessarily the best idea.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre was a pretty good remake, and even Friday The 13th was a nice one too, but I disliked the Halloween one, that one sucked I think, and the Psycho remake wasn't very good either, Vince Vaugh why? Red Dragon was a pretty good remake too.:)

Yeah, I disliked how they made him white trash. I think it's more creepy to learn that a psycho can be brought up in a normal house with a normal family like we have. That way it's more like "Oh god why did he do that?" where as in the remake it's like "Well it's no wounder he went crazy."

The Red Dragon remake rocked. Same with TCM. Friday the 13th I havn't seen yet. Yeah, why Vince Vaughn? He did an OK job but I couldn' t take him seriously because of all his other movies. There had to be some creepier actors avalible.

TCM and Friday were both great remakes, as for Red Dragon I felt that William Peterson's Wil Graham was better than Edward Norton's, as for Frances Dolarhyde I thought that they were both pretty even, and as for Hannibal, Brian Cox was okay at the time, but of course Hopkins is way better I think, I just didn't like how they gave Hannibal a bunch of new scenes unlike Manhunter, most of which were unneccessary and just used since they had Hopkins on board for Lecter, the intro was terrific though

Well I just enjoy Red Dragon a lot more because I'm a fan of the books and Red Dragon is ALOT more faithful to the novel then Manhunter was.
