Absolutely gorgeous singer, which is to be expected from a Hermann Prey recording. Diction is also very good except that sometimes the vowel stresses are wrong and at times some vowels are too closed when they should be open and vice versa (regardless of modifications for placement), Overall, an amazing performance!

You know I think Prey´s Guglielmo is so underrated but for me he is as great as in Le Nozze.

I have two recordings of him singing this role (62 & 74 both live from Salzburg Festival and both conducted by Böhm) and I think he is magnificent in both.
