I'm from the UK and I enjoy listening to these old marches. My own relatives fought against Japan during the war. However, I still respect the Japanese nation and her people. Please keep posting these if you have anymore. They have a certain quality to them which modern music unfortunately lacks. Sometimes, I wish I could have grown up in those times then today, heh.

The military marches are treated as belligerent music now in Japan.

Good music is not listened to and is very disappointed.

@Ksim3000 That's interesting. The UK must have a different attitude. I have met soldiers from New Zealand who fought the Japanese. To put it bluntly, they don't like them. Then again, the UK did not have much interest in Japan. They only turned up for the war crimes tribunals.

I know the japanese 海自 is still using this song today but the pace has been quite different. this one sounds more like a proper military march.

初めまして。

私も同じレコードを手に入れたのですが（残念ながら《軍艦マーチ­》の面に針飛びあり）、同封の解説書によると、《軍艦マーチ》の­指揮者は、「服部正」となっていました。

解説書には《軍艦マーチ》の指揮者については触れられておらず、­管弦楽編曲を担当したのが作曲者自身であることが書かれているの­みです。

あと、「《愛国行進曲》が選定されたのが五年前」という記述から­、1937年プラス5年で、1942年の録音だと推察いたします­。

This is a very nice arrangement of the Gunkan March.

It seems that the arrangement under the Sea of Japan army management was difficult because of the recording in about 1943.
