4 channel amplifiers should be twice as big as monos because they power twice as much. for example a 6oow mono puts out 600w to one or two speakers depending on how many speaker terminals it has. when a 4 chanel 600w amp has to power 4 speakers, each at 600w. it only makes sence.

@Jerryvillasenor123 not always true, in some cases they do put the RMS that one chanel delivers on the amp (i've seen this on some invinity amps, but most of the the time its the total of all the chanels (in ur case 4) combined. so 600w could mean 150w per chanel and like he said it could also be an indication of its peak and not the RMS. Monoblocks on the other hand have their RMS per OHM. So thatone depends on ur system wiring. And out of experience if it says 600w it rarely is.
and down there i was talking about 4 chanel monoblocks. meaning they each power the 600w per chanel or 600x1
