GUY MITCHELL WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT COULD SING THIS SONG. TOMMY COULDN'T REACH THE NOTES AND MUMBLED THE WORDS. AN ATTEMPT TO BECOME ADAM FAITH? I WONDER.
@gerryracer The mumbling was intentional, as for copying that idiot adam faith, i very much doubt it as Faith was unknown when Steele released this song.
Guy Mitchell's version is good but Tommy's is more raw so I prefer it. I also prefer his singing style to Guy's. His voice is more distinct, methinks.
At the time i could never pick between Guy Mitchells version or Tommy Steels mumbled offering. I still cant, and think they are still both great. Oh happy days.
@falconoilcompany Tommy's version was the first one for me, so this is my favorite. Which is not to say that Mitchell's version is not good, it's great, but this one has a special place in my heart

@HowayBonnyLad I have to say that Tommy's instrumentation is better, but Guy Mitchells singing and whistling is better :D
