  • Great Performance by the Longhorn Band.

    Getsen42

    Texas Aggie Class of '87.

  • Oh look they spelled TOXOD! Nicely done!

  • @weatherlou I thought it was MxuL. Would like to see something besides a follow me drill with a flag circle jerk off to the side. But hey. Texas has George Bush and that crazy man governor so this is probably an upgrade.

  • Quite possibly the least entertaining, most rote halftime drill I've ever witnessed (and I've attended games at baylor university, for crying out loud). And sips talk about the Aggie Band following the leader.............

  • the title of the video should be longhorn band VS a&m, not AT a&m.

  • @awsnares Good point. Fixing...

  • @bpcombs

    you never fixed the title....

  • Okay all you Ags and Horns, listen up. The Fighting Texas Aggie Band is awesome, always has been, always will be. The mighty Longhorn Band is equally as awesome, but in a different way. I say this as an Aggie, class of '85, and as the father of a current member of LHB. I'm proud of both organizations. UT is not our enemy Ags, they are our rivals. If you need proof, look at the LHB performance on Kyle Field after the bonfire tragedy. Same for you Longhorns, the Ags are not your enemies.

  • @postagesealman no longer rivals...that is OVA!

  • This show appears once every year because of tradition. I know y'all are fully aware of how traditions work. It's pretty much the ONLY show that we do follow the leader, otherwise we have a different show each week.

  • The Fighting Aggie Band does some of the most difficult drills? Please...it's all just forward marching at set intervals and set yardline stepsizes mixed together with a bunch of uniformly clad people that do coordinated turns in quick succession. The overall effects are brief and/or slightly prolonged movements that give the illusion of weaving streams of bodies that move across the field. NOT TOUGH STUFF...we learned how to do it in 10 minutes. Basically, walk in a straight line & you're set

  • If you were in marching band, you'd know that the FTAB does some of the most difficult drills. There's a reason that a computer cannot simulate Aggie Band drills. Watch the A&M vs Nebraska '10 drill for reference.

If following the leader is so easy, why doesn't the entire horn band move at the same time?

  • Look up the A&M halftime show from the Nebraska game 2010. Like to see anyone else 'follow the leader' like that.

  • OK. I can see the script "Texas" but it's still boring.

  • When the band came out for pregame, I leaned over to my roommate and said, "Now that is some high quality marching." Some t-shirt sip girl then yelled at me and told me that she was at least glad that they didn't play "follow the leader." I believe she was rather pissed off when I turned around at halftime and asked her what was going on.

  • Mr. Fancy Pants!!

  • Wow, that was a pretty lame game of follow the leader.

  • @only1ranger what do you think the Aggie band is all about? dumb.

  • @kevoboe09 Uhhhh, I've never seen the Aggie Band follow ONE person (i.e. 'follow the leader'). The Aggie Band does it in rank and file.

On a separate note, why do they spell "MXO" at the end?

  • @AgKJ87 you can call it rank and file or whatever, but the Aggie Band follows the person in front of them. This is also a traditional show we do called Script Texas, and it wouldn't be 'script' if it didn't look like it was written out. the Ohio State band does a similar show spelling out Ohio. and "MXO", we definitely don't spell that out...we spell Texas? can't read?

  • "I've been working on the railroad, all the live long day!!!!"
