The "written citations" for this peaceful protest and one the next day near Congress resulted in nearly $20,000 in fines for ADAPT members, many of whom live on less than $750/mo. We may have the right to free speech, but it's very expensive. Poor people can't afford to buy lobbyists, so all we have are our bodies and hopefully a little media/press to help make the point. In this case, our very lives depend on it..

HEY....instead of the title..."91 protesters arrested....", why not put: 91 protesters given CITATIONS?? according to the information displayed within the video, the protesters were not handcuffed and only given citations and NOT arrested. was it intentional to headline the video as such in order to get attention? would anyone agree?

April 28 is the International Day of Mourning for dead and disabled injured workers. How many of these people trying to live out the rest of their lives in peace are warehoused, put in cages of pain and neglect? How many of these fought and got crippled in the mistaken belief they were doing good for us? How many commit suicide at being neglected, denied medical care, warehoused on welfare, not retrained to be self sufficient?

They have an industry built around keeping disabled people disabled and dependent. That is the point. Everyone wants to be independent, disabled or not. Unfortunately government needs to hire more employees so needs us disabled to suffer the worse humiliations and poverty in order to satisfy their need for more taxes and bigger government.
