@xodia7: Fair enough... but I am sure you know many passes and clean ups are done when recording at a studio for a music album. For a likely shortly rehearsed one-off chance to sing this song (as a birthday wish granted)... I'd say it is better... esp. if you were there to see/hear it live. Even "unbelievers" were converted that evening.

Arnel wsn't brought into the group to sound like Steve perry, he was brought in to sing Journey songs with the passion and range that Perry had. ... there's nothing like Steve Perry from 1978 but if I can't have that, I have no problem listening to this!

first off I want to say I don't think Journey has HAD a bad singer since Perry. I think Augeri and Arnel are BOTH amazing. If I saw Augeri on the street tomorrow I'd tell him how wonderful I thought he was in the band and thank him for keeping them going so well. There IS something about Arnel though.....he's just fabulous and after hearing this I wish they had put WCTNGOF on the 2nd CD of Revelations!! Thanks so much for posting this one. I sure hope they play it live again!!!!

Perry and Augeri are fantastic Journey singers, but for me Arnel's voice seems .....richer. 'Why Cant This Night' is one of my favourite Journey tracks and Arnel blows it away here. Stunning.

I have loved Journey since 1979. They were great then, and are great now. Arnel is the greatest thing to happen to this band since SP left the band. The band is moving on with Arnel and so should we. To all the haters, there is always Quiet Riot.... LOL..
