  • Damn thing spun out like a motherfucker, thought you were gonna lose it for a second.

  • I hope the white folks get kill driving they Durango flip over

  • @Whitecrackertrash fuck you nigga

  • @Whitecrackertrash hope you niggers learn to type

  • very nice. i got a 2000, bright red.

  • It's great to see a burnout video (of a street car) that isn't just another 1 tire fire

  • hmm, I have a 2000 SLT with a 5.9 two wheel drive. Installed NGK Iridium plugs, K&N filters and full synthetic current 10/40 which I will change to 20/50 soon (S. TX) and at 187k still get about 22 mpg, until I got brite and installed 265/70/17 and dropped to about 18 mpg on hwy.

  • you suck

  • is that really a 5.9? cuz i thought they only came in the r/t package?

  • yeah its a 2000 5.9 SLT with the towing package on it. the r/t's have the different rims, tuned exhaust and they only come in 2 wheel drive i believe. mine is a 4x4

  • What the towing package includes?

  • 5.9 v8, with a class 4 hitch and heavier duty suspension i think

  • I have the 1999 5.9l SLT the thing is beastly ive been recently thinking about taking the third row seating out see if it makes a diff in mpg and get up and go.

  • yeah the get up and go isnt bad, but it would be nice to see an improvement of 12 mpg hahah

  • @moparman7722 lucky you i get 10mpg in my 02 4.7 slt+ hell fast though.

  • @moparman7722 you guys ever though about a cold air intake? doesn't do much but it does do somethin. I put one in my 4.7l durango and i got about a 1 mpg increase. which with a 25 gallon tank adds up you know? as long as you keep your foot of the gas lol

  • @JAYDIZZLE100 that 3rd row seat ways like 75 pounds,,, you wont see and change

  • @dirtbikernick NO, its only about 30lbs. Hell i'll go take mine back out and weight it if wanted. Doesnt take much time at all.

  • @JAYDIZZLE100 probaly already tried it by now but... i took out the 3rd row seating in my 02 4.7 slt+ and didnt notice an improvment so i just put it back in, im getting an hushpower muffler installed which is gotta be atleast 20lbs less so that should be nice. btw the 3rd row seating is only about 30-40lbs. I think the best things for weight reductions without spending anything would be muffler, rear seating, spare, and jacking equipment. Thats all i can think of off the top of my head though.

  • @IROCaTPI I actually ripped out the two front and very rear seats, I replaced the front seats with sparco racing seats, and i have a flowmaster 40 exhaust, dropped out like possibly 250-300 pounds, when i really feel like going out and messing around i drop the spare and take out all the jacking equipment, i gained from 12 to 16 mpg and i think around 17-18 on highway. that makes me happy.

Next im gonna try to get rd of much more, plus invest into a new 460ci engine.

  • they come in 4wd too freind has one

  • your right about every thing except the 2 wheel drive thing they come in 4x4 all the time im not 100% sure if every singal one does but i know mine is and every one that i have came across was and mine is a 2000 r/t and there is no two wheel drive setting 4 wheel all the time

  • i thought the r/t's only had all time 4wd

  • The R/T Durango's were all AWD. Lots of guys pull the full time transfer case & swap in a part time case.

  • @moparman7722

They did make the R/T with a 4x4. We are looking for a first car for me (16th birthday soon). We are looking for durangos, preferbly a R/T. We live in Northern Illinios so we have some harsh winters so we need the 4x4. we looked it up and have found some that do have the 4x4. So yes, You can get a R/T with a 4x4

  • @soccer426hemi52 i know that the r/t's come with a awd, 4wd hi and 4wd lo, dont know the dif between the 4wd but it does come with it! i got a 4.7 4wd durango 2002 and its frikkin sweet! i was lookin at a r/t durango 2001 forsael once and it was great! i loved it but it had damn near double the miles than mine has! i got 73k on mine he has 146k! so yep double!

  • @soccer426hemi52 there is no such thing as an r/t durango. Its only a dakota package. its 2wd and lowered 1" all around.

durangos have the 5.9... but its not called the r/t the 5.9 is just a motor doesnt mean r/t

  • @bigmike97dak They do have a R/T dodge durango model. Look it up. Special features are special wheels and interior (like the dakota) and standerd 3rd row seating. it is also is AWD

  • @bigmike97dak There is such thing as a durango r/t and there is such thing as a shelby durango. You gotta learn some more facts man.

  • @aaminjoshi91 It was a missunderstanding so relax, Ive already done my research on it. That post was 3 months ago... and anyway I am more into dakotas and not durangos. That being said I have admited I am wrong on my statement.

  • @moparman7722 i got a 5.9L 2000 R/T and its 4x4

  • Yeah, the SXT's came with a 5.9 (this is news to me too)

  • @myheadsinthaclouds RT is just AWD

  • @dirtbikernick r/t is not awd...

  • @dirtbikernick r/t is awd and has 4x4 options man.

  • @aaminjoshi91 i know

  • @aaminjoshi91

    yup. correction

  • @moparman7722 lookin back at all these coments now i'm so lost as to who was talking to who and what the whole conversation was about lol. Are you on dodge forums? if is this is ajoshi91

  • that was weak

  • spinnin them both, nice!!

    factor lsd?

  • i have a 02 durango slt+ with 4.7 liter magnum/powertech 4x4. am i able to do a burnout in her? how

  • just do a brake torque. try and easy into the brakes though dont just lay them on right away. besides that i put it in first with OD off and it just does it.

  • so dont put her in drive but in first? will this posibbly f up my car? thx!

  • well number one its a brake torque so if you are worried about messing up your car then dont do a burnout lol. but honestly i have done it prolly... 15 to 20 times in mine and its got 68,868 miles on it. it drives like a champ. so if you do it every once in a while itll be fine.

  • shit..... mines an 03 wit a 4.7L...and it does way better...

  • u get em both spinning? nice , u have any vids

  • yeah true i wasent very happy, however it was my moms at the time and i wanted to save a lil tread for her. but about a day b4 this i went to do one and just the right tire lit up in smoke. this was both tires spinning so i guess they didnt wanna light up.

  • ya ,buddy that is a slt i own a r/t there is no brake stands in that thing.

  • That's an SLT in the video. R/T's came standard with full time AWD which makes for excellent fun in the rain and snow. If I had a RWD with a 5.9 I'd put the transmission in neutral, bring the rpms up to around 2500rpm and then throw it into gear. That'll net the best 0-60 times and save wear on the rear brakes - especially if they're drums!

  • yeah I'll race neone anytime w my durango

but when there a foot of snow on the ground lets race again AWD is the shit

  • AWD is awesome. As much as a part time case is more fun in the summer months, the NV242 (AWD) transfer case is the one to have!

  • thats a good way to bust ur tranny to hell, if u dont drop it

  • True, but bring the rpms up and dropping it in gear will net the fastest acceleration times. Having the engine on boil can be disastrous for transmissions. "Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?" is the question.

  • have fun when the tranny drops idiot

  • Another person that knows how to read previous posts: OK there crazy snowboard dude. After seeing your videos, you're the idiot. Anyway, as mentioned, it will cause premature transmission wear, but is the only way to get the fastest accel time from an automatic. However, at least after you break your legs from performing idiotic stunts I'll still be able to drive, while you and your idiot friends 'paint' explicit body parts on fogged up interior car windows. That's a grounding. Cheers.

  • I have a 96 chevy astro van with a 4.6 v6 that will light up the bf goodriches even better than that and lay 2 long black marks 20ft long. I think it's cause I have no weight in the back or something.. If anyone would like to see the video I will try putting it up. It's to cart around my son and for work so I can't do it too much. I remember in school having a trans am with a big 400 v8 that I thought was the shit till I found out I could do better in my van with half the motor.

  • I THINK YOU MEAN 4.3 V6

  • thats gotta be a slt 5.9 not an R/T

  • damn this. all this talk about burning rubber. AWD does not help!!!

  • i got a 98 durango with a 5.9l and the ass end hops like a motherfucker when i powerburn like that

  • haha i dunno i just turn off overdrive and put it in first

  • look durango in my account!!!

  • I got a 03 4.7, cant seem to do that. Any advise?

  • yea, dont do it an a durango

  • Haha! Good one!!!

  • The tires are to big and wide to git a good burnout going stock... But i can say one of the biggest burnouts i ever did was 3 days after i got my D. I left a 5ft. permanent mark in the concrete & it cost me a $145 tire.

  • ya get one with the 5.9 i had one and had no problem smokin the tires off it and it was bone stock

  • I have a 2000 durango r/t. I can roast the tires all day long. lol

  • i only ever seem to burn rubber unintentionally but then again a saturn ion isnt exactly a car known for its torque i dont think lol! is these your cars?
