Hey there all you martial art illiterates. This is what we call a "form." Forms are used to improve a students movements so they are able to kick, punch, block, strike, or whatever correctly and smoothly. Movements in a form usually arent directly used in a fight until you are more advanced. Stop teasing him, Drunken Fist is meant to be limber and look silly to deceive the opponent. Not understand something doesnt give you the right to mock it.

Yes people who watch UFC will think this style will lose... however, most fighting Kung Fu (ie not stuff done for judging - so the fighting version of this, which I'm sure this guys knows) would hammer them in an open fight. Why? Because you are taught to fight in a way that breaks every rule UFC (and other MMA) have.

The majority of strikes are at the throat, groin, eyes (or, at least, the combos that target other areas end with strikes here). Hair pulling, biting, stomping are all taught

I love this style but it looks so... so difficult to apply in real combat compared to other forms. The only official match up I've seen was student vs. student, this vs. karate. It was a miserable shame (karate knocked his head around).

It's all about manouvering in such an unpredictable yet controlled manner. I think when occupied with an opponent, it would be hard to seperate the drunken nature of your form from your mind. Look drunk. Think smart. Be aloof... but be stable.
