I've tried to teach our staffie to roll over in several ways.. But she just gets cranky or then she stands up... oh well.. she just needs waaaay much more training :D
This is a great video, it once again shows those who do not know the breed that they are very intelligent, id go as far as saying problem solving intelligent, but they are headstrong and need a firm hand (not abused) but once you have them trained as you want them they are amazing dogs.
Hi! Well I just use treats like a ball or food. I always reward her for doing something properly and never punish for doing sth wrong and that's why she stays motivated. That's all I think.
im gonna get a dog, i want a staffie but my mom think they are a little scary.
My sister had a staffie name kira. she was so happy when she saw people and then she jumped... jummped... jumped and run and run*. so happy she didnt know what to do. so mom think it is kind a ... scary, but i love them!
@123kawaiigirl123 Yea they are really friendly and happy, Im not sure if they get calmer when they get older mines just about 5 and she still jumps and jumps lol :D If you get one like you said they jup at people being playful but they will calm down after they get used to the person thats what my dog does :) Just wanna please and be loved :D x
but she think all staffies is like kira. but they let her do all she wanted in the start that is why she was so wierd. jumping in the sofa and doing lots of things like that. haha.
Staffies need a lot of exercise (running, walking) combined with training in which they have to use their brains and think (learning new tricks, obedience training, agility etc.).Nevertheless I think if you have enough time and patience to raise the puppy and then to train the adult dog then it won't be a big problem to have a gentle and calm dog at home and a volcano of energy outside. Btw. my dog jumps on the sofa because I let her do that :)
@123kawaiigirl123 If you think those little short leggeds are active take a look at the "Irish staffordsire" bull terrier breed, they have longer legs and are very active, needing lots of walks.

@123kawaiigirl123
Hey, I've read your comments and as staffie's owner, and I'd like to give you some advice. Well there's a little truth in what your mum says.
I think all the staffies are very active and love to jump...
You must remember that they are not the easy dogs to train to behave gently and calm.They have loads of energy that must be released.
