  • 170hp from a 5.0 V8 ?!?!?! LMAO !! Still my favorite car even though :)

  • I wonder what an LT1 would do in one of these.

  • So elegant, comfortable, and nice-sounding...

  • This car is IMMACULATE!

  • Lol... "rare find indeed"? These old Caprices are all over the place, at least where I live. Granted, they're never in this good of condition.

  • @irarawkstarr ...Where do you live? I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and I see one every month if I'm lucky.

  • hi kyle, it would be really cool if you could do a a video on a 1981-87 buick regal, but not the grand national... i bought a buick regal limited (1986) and i think a video on one would be really cool! thanks :)

  • THATS A PERFECT brougham i love the full top brougham euros but the one that im looking for is the two tone brown and tan with orange pin stripping thats the cleanest color style im goin keep looking its hard to find a brougham in texas.

  • Simple beautiful :') My dreamcar is a 1989 Caprice 4-door. I want it to look just like this one. No monster-rims and aftermarket-stuff. I am saving money and hope to find a beautiful stock Caprice someday. I am from Sweden and they are not many around here :'(

  • You know the only thing that sucks about this car? GM originally was going to get 220+ HP out of this engine but b/c of the stupid emissions regulations, they could only get 180 HP out of these. The rest of the car was awesome, though. (:

  • Nice car. My moms dad had one of these, and it was givin to us when he passed. I remember it like it was yesterday. It had the same engine, same year. It was Grey, on Grey Cloth, with dual exaust. (I think...). It had chrome rims (they were stock) that i actually have never seen on another caprice before. I was my favorite car we ever owned. (We owned some nice cars.) Then we sold it to the Mayors wife, and she let it rust. Poor car.

I'd probably buy this one if i didn't live in Canada... -__-

  • THE HOOOOOOOD MOBILE THATS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT MIAMI ALL DAY PUT SOME 300 INCH RIMS AND A CATERPILLAR PAYLOADER LIFT AND U R IT

  • wawwoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo its v niceeeeeeee

  • OMG speechless :O !!!

  • I love my 89' Caprice Classic 56k original. White with Blue Vinyl Top and Blue pin stripe. All original. I added some things on to make it more personal, not ghetto rims and bull shit. I love my car. Sadly it has to be stored in the winter so she doesn't get ruined by the car eating salt in Pennsylvania. I took it out of storage the other day, and as soon as I started cruising, Credence Clear Water Revival came on the radio, now thats what this country used to be made of. AMUUUURICA!

  • I used to have a all white one..got it from a police auction it had a 350 motor:) whoo!

  • finally a caprice without 97" rims

  • Really liking this, intimidating, but elegant.

  • Omg a NON ghetto Caprice. Now this Id love to have!

  • 1998

  • zack don mom

  • *____* <3

  • Yeah!! Thank fuck it wasn't owned by any idiot who'd have put it through the cash for clunkers scheme!

  • Nice Classic car...

  • gas cap painted lol.......... still gorgeous

  • the only thing i would change is a deep rumblin sound of flowmaster exhaust...otherwise beautiful machine.

  • I had a 83 Impala police cruiser, that was one fun car.

  • Comment removed

  • frame on body, solid rear axle with rear wheel drive, V8, it's a real car!!! it's a shame they don't make them like this anymore

  • Slow Ride!

  • This was the classic American Family Car that could get-up-and go

  • the ac was blowin out snow flakes

  • ...And a drinks dispenser hidden in the tailpipe, nice.

  • Ahhhh memories in the backseat.......lol

  • 6:58 breaking benjermain!!

  • that things beautiful glad its not lifted or have big rims on it

  • @Annihilator1111 Nihilator, were any six cylinders besides the 4.3 available in the last couple of years. I've never seen one with a 250 I6 or a 229? (231 buick perhaps?)

  • @falaqdad15 229/231 v6 i mean

  • Wow that engine bay was clean!!

  • I wish that i can bring this to my country , you can't find a clean Chevy caprice these days !! /:

  • Next time do not close the hood on the corner like that you will bend it :( close it from the center of the hood

  • They sure don't make them like that anymore. Going to be buried in mine.

  • 6:09 LOL it spits up more than my chick does.

  • pure american car

  • american cars are always better then japanese cars.to bad they are not fuel economic.

  • @TheDutchPathFinder

    ?? 22 mpg pretty good...

  • Great comprehensive vidoe, well done, love the car, but would have been better without the leather interior, prefer the cloth and velour seats

  • GOD DAMN PARTNER THATS A

    BEAUTY...

  • This thing is beautiful, the audio system also seem to sound very good

  • He in carolina

  • For sale???

  • wtf? were the fuk do u live? i need to find me a mint like that damn...

  • l had a car just like this 88 caprice brougham with 53,000 miles but the niggers got it. I chased them on foot yelling but it was gone. they also got my neighbors 88 fleetwood brougham. It would be worth them stealing it again if i was waiting in the bushes with my k-98 so i could hot lead inject all those assholes. Now i have a 94 fleetwood brougham with a 1000,00 dollar alarm and i sleep with a 1911 colt 45 on my nightstand waiting for the monkeyshines. Now ill be the ringmaster.

  • @mehlville97 thats too bad. they also love the 94 broughams too. but you prolly wont be bale to tell its yours if you see it again cause its prolly donked

  • @lucasorcorey No Shit...

  • See you don't need huge rims to outstand from the crowd!

  • @jeffdaniel09 And the music is bass clear without replacing the stereo.

  • ive always wanted a caprice like this could never find one.!!!!

  • how much for the car

  • i love how with such a huge generation of the caprice, so many years running of the boxy body style there are still SO MANY different options. No one caprice is the same, weather its the interior or the exterior you rarely see the same kind of caprice. Except maybe once in a while the white on white broughams. I love my 89. She's the only white with royal blue vinyl roof i have seen to date. Nothing is better than the Chevy Caprice.

  • Big classic Amercian Rear Wheel Drive car built in Texas. Nothing better.

  • this is the car i want when im 16 years old in like feb haha

  • Beautiful classic

  • Es una pena. Los americanos demuestran, al eliminar estos vehiculos, que no tienen estilo propio. Ya no existe un vehiculo norteamericano que no imite a uno europeo.

  • Nice car

  • You said the 89 Caprice never came with a 5l 305 unless you are a police man.

  • looks like it was repainted when you look under the hood and you see the gas filler cap...sloppy repaint job...but the car looks SWEET...cool old Caprice...those restrictive exhausts on the 305's limited the horsepower to a degree...smooth running though..would love to own it

  • @Mrjmoyer78 that's why ya gotta mod the exhaust and punch out that cat ;) i really noticed a difference in my 89 after a hollowed cat - not to mention getting a consistent 12mpg to a consistent 17mpg :)

  • @airsoftmama my dad used to do the same to the restricitve exhaust on his chevy pickups in the early 1980's Too funny that you mentioned that...LOL

  • @Mrjmoyer78 seriously, it does wonders. I would never recommend hollowing out a cat on any car that is newer, or has a computer in it, because the computer regulates the car enough to get good gas mileage. but when you have an old car like 1990 or under, its a good choice I would say, especially more so with a car that has a big block engine, not a smaller say 4cyl for example.

  • looks like it was repainted when you look under the hood and you see the gas filler cap...sloppy repaint job...but the car looks SWEET...cool old Caprice

  • @Mrjmoyer78 i think whoever had the car before just repainted under the gas cap. The actual cap never came in the color of the car, and it just looks like spray paint. the rest of the car is factory though

  • american pride right there...they're still all over the road!

  • Your videos are AWSOME !!!

  • This was my first car and man, it was indestructible!! The only downside is the car slid all over the place in Ohio winters with that rear wheel drive.

  • A meagre 170 bhp from a 5l V8?!?

  • Is this one sold to a dutch car dealer? or maybe that guy dindt said hes a dealer?

There is one for sale at my place for 12000 euros and its exact same stat exact same under the hood condition same color time everything i feel a dejavu

  • I just bought a 1989 Chevrolet Caprice Classic in excellent condition! My first Mod is a dual exhaust set up...Can ANYONE give me any advice on what sounds the best...I love LOUD! DEEP RUMBLE SOUND!

  • @greenmisc 40 series flowmaster 2chamber and 2 dual silverline camaro exhaust tips

  • I am from saudi arabia and I wanna buy a caprice 1990 or 1989 from america. can u give me a method to do this and if u can, please tell me about the prices and shipping costs.

    thanx

  • love the sound of that 305 V8....just needs more hp and tq.

  • You should do a Pinto

  • I wanted an 89' caprice soo badly as my 1st car =[

  • i cant watch this. i miss my caprice too much </3

  • THAT IS SEXYY

  • is it still for sale?

  • is it still for sale?

  • WHAT A CREME PUFF!

  • Theres nothing like a big boxy Chevy Caprice

  • Beautiful car

  • thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

  • Why is there water coming out of the exhaust in all of your videos?

  • American cars are as strange to us Europeans, however, very interesting video ...

  • the 1977-1990 Chevrolet Caprice was assembled in

    Arlington, Texas, United States

    Oshawa, Ontario, Canada

    South Gate, California, United States

Detroit, Michigan, United States Clark Avenue

    Flint, Michigan, United States

    Caracas, Venezuela

  • Man we got one of these. I love the sound of a V8 :)

  • haha...my mom and grandfather had one of these. LOL

  • LMAO! Slow Ride. Such an appropriate song for that car.

  • Just what I want to find! Im thinking about selling my 1994 Caprice L99 V8 for this older style "box" caprice with the L03. I like the overall look better than the "rounded" caprice though I still love my 1994 I just like this style so much better. Whats your opinion on the 2 different body styles? Which caprice feels more "well made" , I have squeeky hard plastic on the interior of my current caprice. I will never give up rear wheel drive or body on frame construction.

  • @saabkyle04 After 1980 or '81, The 5.7 liter 350 V8 was only available for police use, '89 was the first year that the 350 & 305 received Throttle Body Fuel Injection, The TBI was also available for police use as well as 4.3 liter 262 V6.

  • It's beautiful! I'd be too scared to park it anywhere, and would not drive during winter...

  • Beautiful color.

  • nice vid bro. hey i gotta quick question, have you ever came across any dodge stealths or 3000gts ?

  • Very nice car! It almost looks like it could of came off the assembly line yesterday.

  • Hey Kyle, I sent you a message a couple days ago (tho I know personal messages on Youtube don't always work! LOL) I have sales & advertising experience, and a good subliminal advertising trick would be to show your foot on the gas pumping and revving the gas close-up! There's a little of that in this vid of the Caprice, but closer and longer shots in addition to the "close-up tailpipe" shot would help you sell. Men and Women both get into the "power thing" albeit for diff reasons. Thanks!

  • what an absolute gem.

  • I really, really hope the next owner cherishes this piece of history - and doesn't turn it into a stupid abortion of a low rider or anything like that.

  • That is alot of "liquid" coming out of the exhaust

  • @timforsyth89 yea that water coming out of the exhaust is probably from a bad manifold. the exhaust is new cuz it has a sticker on it, maybe the engine isn't getting proper cooling which could be the cause, but i dpubt the engine was warm cuz he only had her running a few minutes. what do u think saabkyle?

  • shiniest 89 i've seen yet. there is alot of room under that hood. could stuff a 5.7 liter 350 v8

  • Kyle, that is cool towards in the video that you were able to drive it up and down the parking lot! Nice car!

  • Kyle, at the beginning of the video, on the right side of the Caprice, there is a sliver 98 or 99 grand marquis. Could you make a video of that when you have time? Thanks!

  • ugh.. my dad had one of these ¬_¬

  • if i had money i would buy one those cars Vs new luxary car

  • I bet the exhaust has been replaced at some point given it's age.....and I bet the muffler is not quite stock...hence it's slightly throatier sound.

  • Anyone else notice that no matter what dealership he's at, they always have a white Genesis coupe for sale......LOL!!

  • ys all the dealerships in ur state take all the plates off the cars?

  • Very rare indeed! Barely any of these came in leather. Keep David Rock away from it he'll wanna smash it lol! Nah I think he'd respect it

  • Its not fully loaded, its missint the rear window heater, the light sentinel, radio equalizer ++ But it sure looks amazing good.

  • This car is beautiful

  • WOW just when I thought my car was nice DAMN you just can't beat a classic chevy in the style department love that 5.0 nice American muscle sound to it keep up the freshness Kyle!!!!!

  • I spot an IS300...

  • Absolutely brilliant! Job well done Kyle.

Is that your white Hyundai I spy on the forecourt?

  • CLEAN, knock on woods

  • wow this car still has the 'Made in Arlington, Texas' sticker in the window... they only make SUV's at that plant now.

  • This By far is the cleanest stock chevy caprice i've seen on youtube

  • your lots always seem to have classic cars in immaculate condition! in your state during the winter, do the people (don't know the name of people who takes care of roads) pour salt on roads?

  • @GMManiac Yep the DOT department of transportation does do that, but this car was owned by an old lady that passed away, it had sat for years and years protected for the most part

  • @saabkyle04 Its always an old lady who owns this cars. I guess Reidsville is a long way from the ocean so the cars don't get that rusty.

  • @GMManiac we don't have to worry about rusty cars here in Texas lol

  • @GMManiac most of these videos are made at dealerships in the charlotte nc area up and down hwy 74. i live about 40 miles from this particular car lot. we don't get much snow around here. maybe once or twice a year so cars don't rust too bad. there is also a large number of older people in the rural areas who have cars like this.

  • @GMManiac what does the salt do??

  • @Ywce07 it reacts with the metal in a nasty way. Basically causes cars to rust out far more quickly. It's purpose on the road is to melt the ice and snow into a less-slippery slush.

  • Had one of these myself back in the day, nice car.

  • This kid is 100% scripted like a robot. Just saying...cool to check out all these cars but the commentary is really gettin old. Maybe if he was actually allowed to test drive them, might renew my interest. BORING!

  • @JohnnyGadgets81 Hey what do you suggest I do then lol, next time instead of complaining how I do things on here, I suggest you tell me how I can "renew your interest" lol. I've done this for a while now and I'm not going to change because 1 person doesn't like it, no offence, you're not the only one that watches my videos ;)

  • @saabkyle04 I actually suggested something in my comment, might not have caught that............... that and people are right, its so unbiased. Not trying to knock u man, that wasnt my intention, just hear the same words in every vid.

  • @JohnnyGadgets81 Yeah I understand that, I mean I'm so used to it that I didn't want to change it lol, I'll see what I can do in future videos and maybe change things up a bit. it's taken me a long time to get my format right and organized haha. I don't try to pretend to be a know it all or anything, just share my general love for cars with everyone, especially with older ones that you don't see a lot of. Not necessarily for fancy editing and what not haha

  • @kabuto123101 I think it's funny how you think no one cares about it, I think it's just you. It's a piece of auto history and I try and do it when I can. all I can say to you is if you don't like it, don't watch it. I'm not going to bend over backwards. no offence intended, but I make videos for all sorts of people to enjoy

  • @saabkyle04 If he really doesn't care then he wouldn't have watch this video in the first place. LOGIC PEOPLE!!!

  • OR...it could just be here in Canada.....the 350cui was NOT available after 1987

  • Just as a heads up...the 305cui Chev V8 was the only available motor in the 1989 "civilian" models, the 350 was reserved for the 9C1 police package cars only do to a shortage in those years. The 4.3L V6 was dropped in this year, and the Wagons retained the Oldsmobile powered 307cui witch gave them more power....Great car man!!

  • @strumem90 Oh ok I gotcha, thanks for the heads up there! I know the cadillacs had the 5.7 as an option but wasn't sure about the common caprice, thanks bud!

  • @WTFGUY956 he says the dealerships name because some viewers might actually be interested in the vehicle and go look at it to by it or something and its also for the dealerships publicity/advertisments or else he couldnt make all these cool videos.

  • Old School Chevy's are the best.

  • I don't think non-police caprices were available with 350cid in 1989...

  • This car looks like it just rolled off the delivery truck from the factory....AMAZING.

  • dat bitch too clean. ill keep It Like dat. well Ill Throw Some Sounds in It Tho

  • this is the Chevy counterpart the James May (top gear) drove across America though his car was the cadillac :)

  • Yes, thank goodness no moron "pimped dis bitch out" yet. That is a car of style all on it's own. RARE as hell now, and I wish I could find one near me for sale.

  • my dad had this kind of car in gray i loved it

  • i love these cars, i wanna buy one someday. So beautiful and comfortable inside, if only they still made them like this... :(

  • Saw the video and fell in love with the car.... WOW

  • @BragTerminator I've always loved these, hard to find them in this condition anymore

  • awesome i love caprices. right now i'm trying to get my hands on a 87 caprice that has 99 thousand original miles and has NO rust and the people selling it are only asking $895 for it. i hope i get it

  • @offroader94 Wow good luck! sounds like a sweet buy

  • American designed, engineered, and manufactured. THATS why it starts up like a champ. 21 years later...

  • That is one hell of a nice Chevy Caprice!!!

  • wowy..... boy that is pretty.... definately a sunday cruiser..... drive it in parades etc

  • you did the car a favor when you blew all that water out of the exhaust at 6:00

  • id give my right pinky for that car

  • Aren't these the Cheviacs that Davidsfarm has?

  • @MrGSNfan yea

  • @MrGSNfan close but not exactly, the cheviac and the pontiac parisene (not sure how to spell) are both large cars like this but i do know there is a difference but not sure what, not an expert on these cars. But anyway they're pretty similar

  • I love the fact that in less than 20 years we can get more hp and more torque out of a 2L turbo-4cyl engine than 5L V8.

  • @586mich well they weren't exactly concerned about power when they built that car they were more focused on fuel efficiency but trust me if someone hopped that 5L it would deffinatly beat any 2L

  • how did the stereo sound to you, Kyle?

  • @stwartfan123 pretty good for 1989
