To those who haven't heard the news by now, John Kay has been legally blind for a while now, and was while performing the end of his ("last") tour last year, 2009. He's getting eye surgery, and I would surmise that this is one big reason why he quit. Plus, and this is my humble opinion, who would want to continue when Steppenwolf hasn't ever gotten the respect it deserved from the music industry. After all, when the Dave Clark has been inducted into the R & R Hall of Fame and he hasn't?

Steve Morris in my opinion should have been the new guitarist of Deep Purple after Blackmore left, he's more fitting the picture than Steve Morse, not that Steve Morse is'nt a good guitar player, but he just noy fit in well with Purple, but that's just my opinion, but these 2 guys, if these 2 guys come together, it's like magic in the making, Steve an Ian are great together.
