i bodybuild. i see crossfit people working out. i dont really give a fuck what they do and continue training. i also do nothing like the bodybuilder in this video says. to build mass you keep a high intensity while using heavy weight. train smart with decent form to prevent injury and stay in the game.
Crossfit makes people good at crossfit. They have no idea why they do what they do. They cannot back their exercises up with science. They are a bunch of idiots that do "kip" pullups that create synergistic dominance. They are incredibly insecure when you ask them to explain why they do it. I've done everything from gaining weight, cutting weight, and just keeping weight. Never have I ever mixed a power exercise with a high endurance circuit. It's scientifically contradicting.

What i like about crossfit It gets people to train hard for short time instead of 40 min cardio It uses compound excercises but not bicep curls or leg extensions It has brought the clean and snatch back into the spotlight It´s diverse What i don´t like The attitute among crossfitters Doing high rep cleans and snatch A little to random People get hurt a lot You don´t have to pass any tests to be a CF trainer

Yeah if you break down their performance, say their best deadlift (strength), best vertical jump (power), best 400m run (anaerobic performance) and 5km run (aerobic performance) you often end up with rather average athletes. I am pretty sure that the average NBA player get beat the average crossfitter in 3/4 of these things (probably in all 4) but he most likely will not beat the crossfitter in crossfit. For some reason crossfitters will only focus on who wins in CF.

And sure, that means your 1 rep max is going to be greater......and so what? So a powerlifter cand squat 800-900 lbs 1 time while a bodybuilder might only be able to squat 400-500...20 times, due to the sacroplasmic hypertrophy. Not sure why you would laugh--you think you are better because you adapted your body a specific way as opposed to another?
@cfin28 Powerlifters like me do just that. Great strength plus good diet and hard CONDITIONING! I'm not the "fat" type of powerlifter. I don't really knock bodybuilding even though it's to look stronger than you really are but crossfit is just endurance training. Powerlifting the right way you get big and are as strong but in most cases strong than you look and with conditioning i can out perform those crossfit people. I know cuz a friend had me go with him once and I crushed it lol
