So you are asserting that the bill is so retarded that the bill couldn't possibly pass, so theres no need to get up in arms about it? A mere few months ago the fucking NDAA was passed, which allows the military to arrest you at any time and hold you indefinitely without charge. Retarded bills obviously can and will pass if we are apathetic enough.
people have to realize that slappa has spent most of his life indoors and is blatantly ignorant to the fact that he derives most of his argument illogically
The idea behind the blackout was to get the news of SOPA and PIPA to as many people as possible by doing something people can't help noticing. That said, I'm sure an equally effective and less retarded method could have been used.
I see your point of view and I agree that people are overreacting but at the same time it is good at so many people care about this bill. It reassures me personally to see that most people still have some back bone and are prepared to stand up against complete bollocks such as this.
There was a huge protest in new york or something against censorship and the day after they shut down Megaupload just to give us the middle finger, those fags hate the internet, they want us to play chess all day long instead of having fun
impossible slappa? what a fucking joke. Its only impossible to you because you are looking at it as if it would change overnight. Social changes like this take a while to set in, but if you can stop its early progression it will never happen. Why risk it?
@SLAPPAYURFACE No, I'm just pissed because I hate when people abuse their power. I know the world has always been corrupt, but it has always been behind the scenes. Now they are pulling this shit right in the public eye as if they are testing us or trying to get us used to it. People in America just don't seem to care, they get the dick of authority up their ass 24/7 and do nothing about it. This lack of care is the reason I am so concerned.
And show them why it is a bad idea. And they are doing this by massive petitions and blocking websites to get their attention, not to make a video and say " umm I think sopa is a shit idea but it's that shit that Im Gunna question why people are doing so much against it when it's obv not going to pass" when congress are not searching forums or YouTube to find what the public think of it.
Be annoyed at. To be fair to you some will only be talking about sopa because it is what everyone else Is talking about and they want to get popular, but you should think about it , If no one thought about it, or thought liked you and didn't think they would pass the bill, the congress or whatever it is in America is not Gunna know if people gave a flying fuck about it and as their Internet knowledge is poor would not know the implications. as Internet users and free people we should stand up a
Wow I started watching day9daily this week aswell... My point is if it wasnt for people who are actin against the bill and so many people doing petitions and other stuff against it then the government Would already be like oh fuck it might aswell put the bill in place. And this is the case for anything, if we had all the people on the Internet like you then no one will be pro active, no one on forums or starting threads. I think tbh you are sounding depressed and just want to have something to
If everyone just didn't care up to this point it would have already passed. Sure it wouldn't have been there for long but that is also because people actually care and don't contribute to the already huge amount of useless people in this world.
When a lot of people protested against it, 13 something senators changed their minds about the bill. I'm not saying the protest must be the cause, but it still did show that there were senators to convince, and as long there are the chance of it going through is too big. Even a 1% is probably too big of a chance when it comes to destroying the internets.
All the people making money of youtube are sort of rallying their audience to hate on SOPA. By doing this they make people who sees it believe that the SOPA is the end of the internet and it will pass if they don't do something about it. Their jobs could be in danger if the bill passes, so of course they want to try to do something to stop SOPA. But it wont pass... That being said, I don't see harm in protesting.
This is however is just my opinion. I'm from Scandinavia.. sorry for bad english.
slappa the main problem is that these type of bills will pretty much come back up ever few months in a different form. raising awareness for internet censorship will help deal with other bills like this one.
The outrage isn't unjustified though, Slappa. Even if the odds of it passing are slim, it's still a possibility, and the US is stupid enough to do it.
I guess we'll have to agree to disagree, friend. While we're in agreement that it won't pass, the implications of what it means if it does are worth the hassle to combat it.
@SLAPPAYURFACE Slappa your not an American and you obviously don't pay attention to what is going on in your own country. You dropped out of school and display such a lack of intelligence at every turn, its sickening. The fact that you try and act insightful is insulting. Next time you are going to make a video about something like this look deeper into the matter. Check the history of the country your looking at, even recent history with the NDAA.
@JOKERSFREAK dude america is so stupid that they made the bill there yeah we are behind this but as soon if there voting about there ohh it was good when i draw it up but now i take a second look it not that good it's terrible
@JOKERSFREAK The thing is, if it passes, it breaks the constitution. Also, it shows there is a greater power at works here. If it doesn't, then it was just an idiotic idea by people who don't understand the Internet.
We're not greedy, we just don't like the richest people in the country buying our politicians to give them all the advantages and shortcuts in life while regular folk end up paying for them with our money and no say in it because we aren't wealthy corporations. Corporations ain't people, they shouldn't have say in politics because then politicians will work for the benefit of their donors (the corporations) and not the common worker. Hence, you have Occupy Wallstreet.
I think people are afraid BECAUSE it exists. It would be an essential step in making SOPA or anything like it happen. There will be many more bills like SOPA, PIPA, and OPEN. Only time will tell what happens with them.
I feel that over the years of watching your videos your genious has seeped into my brain and made me think like you.
