oh thank you for posting this! i just sent mine in today for the same reasons! so they gave u a new ipod with a new back too? because i hope they give me a fully new one cus mine's all scratched on the back. thnaks for posting!!!

actually i realized it Isn't a fully new one, they just open up the front and fix it, but you'll be pleased in the end. Mine's scratched up in the back 2, i recommend getting a full back case, you can get some cool ones at best buy or walmart and they only cost 10 bucks and you can see the scratches with them! hope this helps! (:
