  • @TayouJin Thanks, that's a great idea. I saw one of these saws in Lowe's today. I think I'll try it out !

  • Are the schedules the different grades of the pipe? Are higher schedules more durable?

  • @faYte0607 That's a great question. I found a comparison of Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 PVC pipe online. The 1" Schedule 80 pipe is slightly thicker and can withstand higher water pressure. However, it seems that Schedule 40 pipe is what is sold in the stores most of the time. Actually, I've never seen Schedule 80 pipe in stores.

  • @faYte0607 Sch 80 is very thick and much stronger, but it is also more expensive.

  • shall i use electric pvc pipes or water pvc pipe wot size 20 , 40 or ??? thanx plz reply ASAP

  • water, schedule 40

  • Put some painted cardboard for the panels, that should work! ,also this looks very cool! 5*

  • Your delivery method is so... serious that it's so funny when you do silly things. Awesome video!

  • Been looking around and here in the UK schedule 40 corresponds to a 0.133inch wall thickness does that sound right? cause at 1:02 the top one doesnt seem like 3.37 mm thick?!

Thanx ! and keep up the good work much appreciated !

  • This is a great question!

I measured a Schedule 40 PVC pipe today. My little plastic ruler is not real accurate for tiny measurements like this, but it shows the thickness of the pipe is between 3 and 4 mm.

I think when I hold an object close to my video camera, the apparent size of the object tends to get a little distorted in the resulting video.

  • Possibly a little additional tip: Drill or Dremel holes or slots in the pipe, and you have the ideal manner to get your wires out of the way.

Don't expect to suspend huge overhead panels or projectors off your PVC frame though. Remember that you're sitting underneath!

  • lol nice kungfu skills

  • like how much wieght can pvc pipe take like if it was to support a human what could the max be like 400lbs? thank u for ur time

  • I don't know, but be careful. When PVC pipe is overstressed, the connectors usually break first and they shatter. I would recommend using lumber for supporting heavy weight.

  • so u think its better to use pvc pipe for a protype more then the finish product?

  • I can't answer that question because I don't know what you will build in the future.

Use this rule: "Try it. If it doesn't work, try something else. Use power tools safely."

  • PVC pipe comes in 10 foot lengths. Buy three of them (30 feet). Buy one 4'x8' sheet of EPS.

  • Hahahaha great video. You just got yourself a new subscriber. :-)

  • Wonderful. Welcome to our channel.

  • hahaha:P ,cool video:D "its small portable and quiet" just in case you need to build a cockpit simulator in the night secretly:D

  • will steel wool scrach the pipe i tried it

and feels like it was sanding it

  • Yes, you are basically sanding off the print. You can skip the steel wool if you paint it with two coats of latex paint.

  • lolollolollolol 2:35

  • hi ya nice clean cut with ur hand

  • Yes, I sharpened my hand right before we did the video :)

  • i wonder if i could make 1 with covering

  • NEVER WERE SAFETY GOGGLES

  • thats really bad advice.

  • i will miss

  • I am motivated!! Thanks for the vids...

  • Dude, you have a corney sense of humor. I dig it.

  • lol I liked this vid a lot bro.

Oh, and dont forget about the good old hack saw. Thats what those of us who use a lot of PVC use.

Those cutters look awesome! Must get a pair.

  • Very cool.

    Looking forward to part 2.

  • Glad you like it....we ended up with so much to talk about that it needed to be a 2 part video.

  • Nice guides, very informative :-)

  • I like your use of the alternate version of the metal. :-)

I work (for now...) at a non-US ALCOA.

  • Thanks
