I used a code for a Pikachu colored pichu, and i talked to a guy and green and he gave me an egg... its a bad egg and i dk if it'll crash my game with it being a diff. code and all

I think that if you get egg , not bad egg, when you use the code, you can actually hatch it into a random legit pokemon

I've updated the description with a wild pokemon modifier at the bottom, just use that instead~ there's less typing involved, and less typing means less probability for mistakes~

I suppose I should further clarify.

Bad Egg and Egg are in the game's data as the two pokemon past Arceus. Egg is number 494, and Bad Egg is number 495. You can use my wild pokemon modifier code to encounter them in a battle by setting the X values in the code posted above to either 1EE (for Egg) or 1EF (for Bad Egg) and setting the Y values to anything.

Seeing as you said XL, that makes me wonder if maybe you tried to do it in a North American copy of the game?

The code I posted will only work for the Japanese region of the game, so that's why it didn't work. Thanks for letting me know, I will post up a US version of the code for you guys~!

The code I posted was for Heart Gold, so maybe you got a bad egg because the memory address for Mew is different in Soul Silver.

Bad Egg is the result of corrupt memory, and that's what hex editing does, it corrupts memory (Usually though, it corrupts it in a good way~)

Look around on the net for a new code I'd say~

Bad Eggs are put in place by gamefreak so people like you and me are punished for doing a hack job. It must of been a really horrible code to do that. Most codes work. ps: i hack to but never did get a bad egg :P so lucky

I did that on Diamond, when it was doing it's animation, or whatever, I noticed it actually changes depending on place ( At least, that's what I believe ). I ended up seeing one hell of an awkward animation: think of a pale-white Ludacolo that got cut in half, vertically. Creeped me out the first time I saw that.

Actually you can trigger an enconter with 000 without using this hack. All you have to do is use a walk anywhere hack, and walk into some grass without activating any of the beginning events that give you a pokemon. If you encounter a pokemon without any pokemon in your party, it sends out the 000, and then the battle ends because it has zero hp, and then the game crashes~ The Bulbapedia guys called 000 DPbox.

Since both versions have to be compatable with each other, even those 493 hybrid glitch pokemon are in it!
