We are all known by different names......depending on the circumstances - e.g. as a teacher I am known by one name, but to my friends it seems strange to call me by that name. In biblical times names were significant and held special meaning. the name Emmanuel was give 100s years ago to help explain who this person was going to become. The name Jesus means 'God saves', the role in which he came to fulfil.
