Still not a full break in period. With modern alloys and synthetic compounds in the gaskets and seals, they need certain amounts of hot/cold cycles to fully seat and set in properly. Most car manufacturers set it at a specific mileage, assuming that the average person will drive xxxxxxx miles per start up and shutoff, mixed with xxxxxx amount of days. They still need to be broken in before daily abuse, or problems will pop up down the road.
