Try to make the dot as small as plausible and make sure its perfectly round.

Normal paper do's not burn good. Try old leaves.

@coolskate55 Also depends on the time of day. You want the sun to be at a high angle (noon would be best time) earlier or later in the day, the sun's rays are not at strong.

@coolskate55 DONT try it on your skin! you'll burn it in less than 50 milliseconds and it will HURT. make a small point with the magnifying glass. maybe it's too cloudy where you live.

I finally got some results, it can melt a black hose all the way through to the ground in like 20-30 seconds. I CANNOT light anything white. Anyway even a black paper, it only burns holes through it, not lighting it. What gives?
