  • Love your video's!! I'm about to become the newest (3rd) owner of a Potter 15....I'm looking forward to sailing the waters from Clearwater, FL -----> SOUTH... I'll be doing some initial sailing with my new acquisition in Tampa Bay....after that...out there along the Gulf shores. Will be joining the WCTSS, too....hope to meet you/family sometime....group sail/cruise.

  • Beautiful! Thank you for the post......looked like a lovely day, lovely boat, lovely waters, lovely family!

  • Two good comments.

1- The mic would need a wind protector. I need to see what is available.

2- The rig WAS very loose because it was my first time I tighted the backstay. That made my shrouds loos but I corrected that later.

The Sanibel is much more stable than my P15. The handling is something that I am still learning but I would say that it's faster, and can go against the chop better. It's not great at pointing but that might also be my lack of experience with her.

    Jose

  • Nice video.

For sailing videos with wind I would recommend a wind protector for you mic.

Your rigging looks a little loose. When the power boat hits there is a lot of slack from a relatively small wake.

I have a potter 15 too. How does it compare to the Sanibel in regards to stability and handling?
