And yes we are led to believe that our individual votes are what get representatives elected, but those votes are often won on blatant lies and misrepresentation. If you hired a contractor under certain "promises" and he doesn't deliver, you get your money back - but the same doesn't apply to politicians. I do believe we should paid taxes, but I think the taxes are misused and we don't have a say so in how they get used.
@JG1635 Continuing on the taxes, I think we are mislead to believe our taxes will be put to good use. For example, if you donate money to a charity you expect that money to be used for charitable purposes, not to line pockets or fund wars. But with taxes we can't opt out if we think our money is being misspent. If you don't pay, someone with a gun will come and take it from you. As far as the troops - again you are correct, which is why the majority of them are very young and ignorant.

My father helped build WTC 1 & 2. They were built on landfill. Everybody seems to forget they were damaged in 1993 with the bombing from underneath. Even with the repairs, those buildings were structurally never the same and should've never been reopened. They should've started from scratch in 1993, because they were already over 20 years old at that time, but they milked another 8 years out of them and disposed of them when they started losing money. They weren't at full occupancy anymore.

The progressive collapse continued past the basement and down to hell, which is why there is some confusion about alleged "molten steel" at the site of the collapse. It wasn't "molten steel" but rather, it was lava that had oozed up from hole formed from the progressive collapse.

With regard to your statement about the people paying for the weapons with tax money - you have to realize that is stolen money and used without the people's consent. And yes we are led to believe that our individual votes are what get representatives elected, but those votes are often won on blatant lies and misrepresentation. If you hired a contractor under certain "promises" and he doesn't deliver, you get your money back - but the same doesn't apply to politicians. I do believe we should paid taxes, but I think the taxes are misused and we don't have a say so in how they get used.

@JG1635 Continuing on the taxes, I think we are mislead to believe our taxes will be put to good use. For example, if you donate money to a charity you expect that money to be used for charitable purposes, not to line pockets or fund wars. But with taxes we can't opt out if we think our money is being misspent. If you don't pay, someone with a gun will come and take it from you. As far as the troops - again you are correct, which is why the majority of them are very young and ignorant.

My father helped build WTC 1 & 2. They were built on landfill. Everybody seems to forget they were damaged in 1993 with the bombing from underneath. Even with the repairs, those buildings were structurally never the same and should've never been reopened. They should've started from scratch in 1993, because they were already over 20 years old at that time, but they milked another 8 years out of them and disposed of them when they started losing money. They weren't at full occupancy anymore.

To construct the World Trade Center, it was necessary to build a "bathtub" with a slurry wall around the West Street side of the site, to keep water from the Hudson River out. No doubt the 1993 bombing went deeper & did more damage than they thought. I even think I remember them finding water in the basement.

The slurry wall was in peril following the bombing & loss of the floor slabs that provided lateral support against pressure from river water on the other side. @jedichris8 I accept the possibility, but I won't endorse the idea unless it's proven. I've watched many of the 9/11 truth DVD's and some of the claims to disprove bin Laden were ridiculous (while others were legit). For instance, one argued that bin Laden was left handed and a video showed him using his right hand to write. Well, using the left hand is disrespectful in middle eastern culture. And even if it wasn't him, the video doesn't disprove the possibility of a double. I'm simply neutral.

@theapologetic Building 7 collapsed due to the falure of the paste,(made from flour and water), which allowed the carefully balanced beams of balsa wood, (the building's main structural material) to fail. The progressive collapse continued past the basement and down to hell, which is why there is some confusion about alleged "molten steel" at the site of the collapse. It wasn't "molten steel" but rather, it was lava that had oozed up from hole formed from the progressive collapse.
