this series is not part of of the UC am i right? it tells how was founded the earth federation, but we have gundams century before the rx78 and the technology here is completley different, unless gn particles are actually minovsky particlesand the GNdrives are ancestors of the zeon's minovsky fusion reactor, but this would mean that all the gundam related technology will be kept secret for a long time! so, gundam 00 is a prequel or not?

Actually by comparison the Gundams were approximately 50 years ahead of all technology available to the countries at the time and the GNX units are fake drive units, meaning they lack in all aspects compared to an original drive which can run for infinite amounts of time under it's own power. Besides the nations only got the fake drives because the owner of the linear elevators for the orbital elevators betrayed them and it cost him his life, good riddance <.<. Buut! Theres a movie coming too!

Well yes thats true but you forgot something, the Original GN drive uses Air particles to support it's fuel. So Infinite not likely.. It just has a longer supply.

@ YuunDaisuke from what i've heard the originals were built on jupiter that resulted in a special filter that can support the engine better than a cheap 'over the counter' replacment could meaning that the fakes could do all that the gundams could but for only a temperary period i think it was that the particale restortion rate was less than that of the amount used or something

Yeah. However, I don't like anyone saying the machines using fake-drives are Gundams because they are not. They neither have the outward appearance of Gundams nor any of their abilities. Had Celestial being used the second Seasons Gundams right away, even the GNX units would have been 1000% outmatched from the very beginning.

the name comes from various sources dependant on the series, in gundam wing their called gundams because their made from gundanium alloy instead of regular steel or whatever the other ones are, in gundam seed/destiny their called gundams because that is an anogram for the flight system.

Seed, it wasn't the flight system, it was the entire OS, but then if you think about it, the Akatsuki was a gundam, it used the natural use OS that Kira made for orb, which all the MP orb units liek M1s and murasames used, so where they all gundams?And then theres the thrones, they called themselves gundams, but they had fake gn drives and werent part of CB which the gundams were

meaning that gundam was meant to be a machine with such amazing fire power that it could stop the enemy like a dam stops water

u no even though it was ran of a gn drive u still need the iconic colors, face and moth of a gundam... they have this red toung kind of thing and some how if a meister was doing a hand geisture the gundam would two hmm maybe the 00gundams still have the biological super computer like the old school gundams

@hardstyleanimaniac They didn't have TP Blankets so they where all fake. The Misters with the real solar flances that admitted a green light were the only true Gundams. With the TP Blanket they can operate forever. The suits with fake GN drives could only operate for a limited time of use that admitted a red light.

@Cox5806 No only GN Drive can go Trans am. Later on Tau Drive suits can go Trans am with the help of Billy Katagiri. Not to mention that only a select few can use the Trans am. For example, Masurao, Susanowo, Gadessa, Gaga, Garazzo, Reborns Gundam are all the Gundam that can use the Trans am with the Tau Drive.

@powerofgoldvid its just not because of that, they were not able to use trans am because they did not have the blackbox which only the original drives had where Euliolah Hamberg (i think thats how you spell his name) stored the secret of how they were able to release compressed GN particles to go into trans-am highly increasing their speed and power, but after it expired the suit's damage and capabilities were greatly decreased until recharged

Trans-Am is pretty much an overdrive mode for the Solar Furnace.

Think of it like the human muscles: We operate at only about 30% of max output daily, unless something forces the limits to be pushed, where above normal output is reached. The downside is however, that after breaking that limit, you're drained.

Seed mode is just someone getting snapped angry.

It's not "snapped angry". It's entering a higher level of consciousness and mental computing capabilities, as well as reflexes, etc. I'd say the person goes into a trance-like state where they pretty much do things at a subconscious level. It's also trigged by extreme emotions, such as angry or sadness or it can be controlled at will.

like gn drives operate at like 30% gn particle output etc, because of some limiter thingy. when trams am, the limiter thingy is removed, thus releasing all the stored gn particles fromn the drive, operating at 100%, and the particles engulf the MS, giving it a redish coat.

but after trams am time is done...the MS needs to recharge the gn particles, thus the machine will only work at like 10% of its original output.

so trams am is like a "double edged sword"

does virtue ever go trans-am cos i never rememebr it doing so only kyrios exia and nadleeh cos if it did that would be the ultimate imagine virtue firing all canons in tran-am in flying through the center of the enemy force it would have the speed to match its punch and it could rip apart the entire battlefield and leave exia dynamis and kyrios to pick off the survivors if there were any but sadly its only a dream =[
