Hi ur cake looks delicious and i want to try it out but i'm new to baking and i have no idea when it comes to handling the oven . I have a few questions :
- I have a gas oven at home and how should i preheat the oven?
- For how many minutes should i preheat the oven before placing the cake ?
I too have a gas oven. If a recipe asks to preheat to 350 degrees, set your oven at that temp and your oven will tell you when it's reached that temp or if your oven does not do that, then wait for 10-15 minutes to heat up. Also, every oven is different. Get to know your oven. Is it strong(for example does it cook food quicker than what the recipe says) or maybe it takes longer. I hope that helps! @EatingWithRula Hey thanks for the tips!You were right my oven actually cooked quicker than the time given .Only an hour . As 4 the cake it was amazing !:). I made it twice in 4 days and it got over quick ! I added more apples (6 cups ) , increasd little amt of cinnamon and vanilla extract the 2nd time i made it and it was superb !:)
