He had an amazing bull one time who was a total baby, He loved to be pet and loved on, but he was the most aggressive bucker around, I can't remember his name now, but he was 20 years old when they had to put him down due to bad arthritis in his knees. this movie inspires me as a bull rider im in high school and bull rider and i have worked with some of the best. I know how dangerous riding is i rode a bull called chicken on a chain once and i got thrown off comin out of the shoot and i came down on the gate and broke several ribs!

In real life it was a freak accident. The bull just happened to stumble on his feet at the same time and hit Lane in just the right way. Such a shame, he was an awesome bull rider....RIP Lane Frost! We'll love and miss you forever!

First off Rest in Peace Lane! The movie 8 Seconds is not true in the least Those of us who knew Lane knew Kelly and both Families were all hurt by some of the images the movie created. Lane never cheated on Kelly it was the other way around. Lane was killed when Taken care of Business broke a rib on his left side which severed a main artery. He bled to death internally with in 2 mins. Lane was 24 a loving husband Hard working young man and a wonderful son and a friend to all he met.

Right when he gets the love of his life back he dies. I watched this with my friend and he laughed. I hate that kid now. Oh and the bulls horn didn't kill him it broke his ribs and the penetrated his heart he lived a couple seconds after so he could only motion to his buddies to come help him and when he fell down thats when he died.
