Worst...ending...ever. Almost as bad as NBSG's ending. I envisioned some kind of twist where Adria ascended and woke up concerning the whole Ori/Alteran conflict. The Doci and the Priors, wanting to replace the now-deceased Ori collective, continue the Crusade in order to build their power. Unable to use her powers to sway the masses to believe her, she helps SG-1 find the Ark of Truth in order to stop them. Oh and no Replicators or Terminators either.

The search for the Ark of Truth was supposed to be a season long story arc for season 11, but Sci-Fi nixed the show, because they're idiots. So, they had to cram twenty episodes worth of material into a two-hour long movie. So of course it seems rushed. I thought the movie did a pretty good job of wrapping everything up, although it could have done without the Replicator storyline.

My theory:

Adria was Ori, Morgan was Ancient: negative/positive. They didn't battle, they cancelled each other out, so Morgan sacrificed herself to stop Adria for god. That is kind of how Merlins weapon worked too, it just cancelled out the Oris energy and thus killed them.

Oma was Ancient and so was Anubis, so she could not cancel him (same energy); thus the eternal combat.

There is no difference between them as ascended beings except in beings beings representing the light side of the force and another representing the dark side of it sort of like Jedi's and Siths if you will. Anubis ascended being evil so he was just like the Ori well sort off anyway, he was partially ascended not totally remember? Anyhow your theory is interesting but I doubt they canceled each other Adria would not have as eager to fight had that been the case. :D

That's a good point too, but I wonder if she'd have been as eager to fight knowing they'd be locked in eternal conflict. Anubis didn't want to, Oma just kind of threw herself at him and forced it. I thought maybe Adria thought she could overcome Adria and decided to go for it, but overestimated her own strength.

Ah well, it was a quick ending to the show clearly designed that way by the writers. Too bad. They totally could have pulled off another season or two on the Ori storyline.
