  • my churchs mission trips to haiti always involve dancing. haha.

  • day: made

  • It's so strange to see how different our worlds are. We can have anything we've ever wanted, and are bitter. They just barely have enough, and are the happiest people.

  • This made me smile!

  • I wanna have that guy at my next party.

  • It's like the Haitian Macarena

  • Lyrical. Genius.

  • haha looks like the hokey pokey

  • That looks like so much fun :)

  • gah!! this makes me want to go back again SOOOOOO BAD!!! my family has adopted from haiti, and i've visited multiple times :)

  • wow, I am going to Haiti in 3 weeks, and I hope it's exactly like this

  • i feel like this and the hokey pokey share a common ancestor.

  • I wish I was there to bust a move.

  • the first bit is how i always dance.

  • That's how I dance at weddings

  • Music, A magic far beyond all we do here - Dumbledore

  • This is so the origins of House Trance music

  • Was it just me, or was that smile very infectious? I couldn't stop smiling as I was watching...

  • that was awesome!

  • Wonder if everyone on Wall St. is just as happy

  • Hank, care to add a description?

  • that was sweet :)

  • This is like the Macarena OMG variations are taking over the world!!!

  • Haitian hokey pokey

  • Simon Says. Dancing style.

  • Oo

  • @WoahItsKimber A worry of complacency, I suppose. Appearances can whitewash perspectives of regions of the world. As much as the internet can illuminate, it can also distract and obscure. It shocked me when I realized how fenced off the world was, and how many lives we stand on to live as we do today.

  • @Enemynarwhal Yes, because many people don't own computers or have access to the internet. I am not sure what kind of world you are wanting either if you seek to sway people's opinions so aggressively. Back away and deep breathes.

  • Its nice to see a country so much worse off than us in this type of video. Yes there's famine, poverty and medical issues but look how happy they are with a simple community get together. Nice upload, Hank, reminds me that life here is not so bad after all.

  • and now i'm smiling :D

    thank you!!

  • That made me smile.

  • The moment where the main guy started dancing with the older lady next to him? Sweetest moment ever, I think.

  • Amazing. I sure hope Hank was dancing along. :D

  • Someone make Minimal music out of it! :)

  • :DDD

  • The trouble with these videos are that they don't show the hardships. Every culture has their fleeting happy spots during a day, but the starving/medical/family effects are far more crushing in these 3rd world places.

  • @Caprinae Do you really believe that there is a single person who has watched this video who has not seen countless numbers of videos showing the hardships of living in the third world? This is just a minute long video showing us that people who live in the third world can have fun too, do you think it should have ended in a starving chid sobbing over the body of his dead mother just so we wouldn't accidentally forget that the world is a miserable place for one minute?

  • @Caprinae I am a little baffled with your comment. I think you are seeing the complete opposite of what I am seeing. We hear and see about these awful things Haiti and other 3rd world countries are facing. It is heartbreaking. However, it is so wonderful to see a group of people set aside their hardships and come together and just celebrate life.

  • I have NO idea what just happened...... but I liked it :)

  • So fun and unified...

  • Awesomeness, looks like they're having so much fun!

  • DFTBA! Happy P4A day!

  • Look how happy those guys are! It makes me wish I lived in a society like that. Song and dance can touch the heart and bring people closer together.

  • @DaisyWhisper

Do you mean in a society which lives in poverty? You don't know what are you exactly talking about, do you?

  • @gombost No, I mean a society that can forget about their povery for a little while and be happy together like this clip shows. These people have a better sense of community and being happy together then we do. This is what I wish more people could have, a better sense of community.

  • @DaisyWhisper I was involved in a similar occasion in June... we just broke out singing "500 miles" by the Proclaimers. No matter where you go on the planet, you will always find people singing and dancing :3

  • @ElliottGeorgeEdwards I agree. Everywhere in the world, from camps in Antarctica to Mexico city you'd find people singing and dancing together.

  • @ElliottGeorgeEdwards One gray morning on the bus to work, someone started singing. Had a friend with her who sang along. Not really loud, I'd say talking volume. Then ppl started adding their voices. First thing you know, about a dozen ppl were singing! That was so weird! I really suspect an acting teacher told his students to improv on the bus (they do that), but it worked! :)

  • @DaisyWhisper Let's make one :) It starts with us!

  • That looks really fun!

  • That looks like a fun dance!

  • :D

  • This is hilarious :D

  • wow that looks fun :D

  • woot like 4th! cool vid hank!
