Yes, I agree with everything you say. I am a guy and it seems like shaking hands has gone out of style. When I draw my hand out, men look at me strange, and you can tell by their body language that they just don't want to do that anymore. I was raised where that was the tradition. It's sad isn't it. lol ima guy and...well most guys are kinda homophobic and im not at all for some reason and my best friend was for his whole life till about a couple years ago wen i just hugged him a couple times or just palyed around with him and now hes not homophobic at all....kinda weird lol

I am too cranky, I don't like people (that I don't know) touching me. *sniff* Maybe this is why I am so cranky. Maybe I will freak out my co-workers by hugging them today. :) That wouldn't count though would it? I wouldn't be doing it for therapeutic value.

Kimberly, I saw something on TV where people in NYC from an organization were going out in the street and giving out hugs and it tickled me. I'm a hugger too. I know that some people are not too keen on being touched and I have to remind myself of that but I too will at least shake someone's hand. great advice.

I think everybody should give more hugs! I think that a lack of hugs may be the cause of a lot of people's seemingy constant state of irritation. : ) It should be considered a medical condition...hug deficiency!

I'm not sure if hugging the teachers at my school would go over well and hugging my students might creep them out. Maybe, who knows. People say I look like a big teddy bear. Maybe I should hug more often.
