Love your videos... the music, the veggies. It's all just sooo great and really the next best thing to being outside in my garden (It's pouring rain outside now... lol).
I saw my first amazing hydroponic garden when I did a tour of Disney Worlds behind the scenes garden area @ Epicot of all places!!! But it blew my mind. Everything so neat and clean and no bending over to garden. Anyway, since then I've been hooked on the whole notion. :)
Nice garden!! Did you go with hydroponics due to the dry conditions and sandy soil here(I live in North Port fl)? I just moved here and want to have a garden but need advice.
yes; I love the hanging basket gardens; keeps the plants away from pests and are much cleaner and easier on the back..automated means little work; no weeding or guess work. regular nursery pots work well also for most veggie plants; unless you are in Belle Glade..most of the soil in South Florida is very difficult to work
Hello, I think your garden looks amazing!!!!(jealous here) :-)
I live in Orlando and started my own veggie garden a few months ago, and everything started going well until my tomatoes caught BLIGHT, so I have been dealing with that. However my comment to you, or question is what do you do in order to keep your BELL PEPPERS alive? I purchased 2 of each: green, yellow, orange and red peppers and have replaced them 3 times so far. They seem to just dry out (they get watered). Any suggestions? Thx
my peppers have done ok; however the yellow and orange not very well; the green to red variety that I have has done well; they slow down in the summer; I gave them peters 20.20.20 fertilizer water soluble
We're not suppose to have a chicken coop, but we built one near our shed underneath some trees then painted it green to blend in with nature. We have a total of 10 chickens and make sure we share our fresh eggs with our neighbors.

I've always wanted chickens, but we can't have them in a residential zone.

sometimes you can get away with having a couple of hens in an inconspicous coop...
