  • i think when the duggars arrive in aldi-market...the market can close for half an hour to just take care of the duggars and their stuff...poor people waiting behind them in the line xD

  • how they gonna manage christmas??

  • some people in this society are so depraved they couldnt possibly understand a happy marriage and family life!

  • Cashier: $1959.91

JimBob: Wow... *whips out cash LIKE A BOSS*

  • why does it keep on stopping????????????????

  • All she thinks when she sees Jim is *thrust* *thrust* Dugger Dugger Dugger

  • It's somehow comforting to hear Jim Bob say something like "I've got full bars right now".

  • i do not always like how the duggars live but i adrime them for not being in debt with 19 kids and i adrime them for rasing goo d childern

  • i love ALDI

    but it does add up

  • Why do people complain so much about this being wrong?? They now have 19 kids all of them have been raised in a good family enviroment, with loving parents. The kids all have excellent manners and are pleasent happy children. How on earth is that a bad thing? And they don't live off the State so who are people to complain about how they choose to live THEIR lives!!

  • they never explain why the have so many

  • @JamieCunningham if you mean so many children, it's because when Michelle was on the pill, it caused her to have a miscarriage so they decided not to use any form of contraception and BAM twenty kids!

  • lol 8:31

  • God Bless the Duggars. They are a wonderful example for all us Bible-Believing Christians! It makes me so happy to see a wholesome, modest, Christ-centered family on TV these days. Their show is doing lots of good works for Christ. It's a blessing!

  • @adalia21 he owns commercial real estate

  • "Now this is a normal American family." LMAO oh Jim Bob. THanks for a chuckle. :D

  • "This is a typical American family"

Oh God, thanks for giving Koreans that impression. (not) -_-

  • I am impressed. So many families are in debt and they aren't as big as the Duggars. Even though my family is somewhat in debt, I'm hoping we could follow in the financial steps as the Duggars do. They are so encouraging and inspiring.

  • I don't agree with their values, but I have to give them credit for the fact that they are debt free with that many children. At least they didn't go and have all of these kids and then go on government assistance or expect to get a lot of free things from TLC like some other families. I do wonder though, could they realistically have this lifestyle if they didn't live in middle America? And do they plan to pay for college or are they hoping most of the children won't bother with an education?

  • @FlowerChild65 I think I saw in one episode that the parents don't encourage their kids to go to college although I think they would be proud if one did. I'd say most of the kids are going to get married earlier and start having kids.

  • hey jimbob,,, invest in a playboy or something,,, rub one off once in a while.. don't worry, jebus isn't watching!!!!

  • Just becuase you have a problem with the duggers who i think are an example of a wonderful family doesn't mean that you should make fun of jesus. thats going way too far.

  • Wow. I think instead of spending sooooo much time writing comment after comment, after continued comment bashing the Duggar family, perhaps SOMEONE should get out there and make a positive difference in the world THEMSELVES!!

In other words, get a life!!!

  • What about hacidic jews in lakewood or wiliamsburg NY? They make 13+ kids each couple and its no secret, and they all live off welfare drive very crappy cars but have very big expensive homes! and they dont allow outsiders at all! we cant marry into their families either, and our kids cant go to their schools or even talk to their kids, and there are hundreds of these people living in the usa people making many kids each year, we should worry about them not the duggers

  • Koreans not having high birth rates is a crisis? They have small families because it's expensive to have big families...

    I don't think it's a crisis...

  • It would do alot of people good if they would listen and learn from the Duggars instead of being so negative toward them. It may save some of these peoples homes.

  • completely agree.

  • @castout888 Thank you,I don't understand what the problem is with them buying used items, when they can. That's why they have the money to pay cash for the things they can't find used.

  • i agree. its good to see other people's perspective in life...

  • @debbiekathrina Obviously, they are doing something right. They were able to provide for their family before they started their show on TLC.I think alot could be learned from them;if people would take the time to look past the amount of children they have, perse, and learn more about how they are able to support them.People should study the TRUE facts, not assumptions, that all of their wealth came from TLC!

  • @mupine67,

It doesn't always take money to make money. My parents were both raised in lower class families. They saved saved saved. That's all it takes. When you save, you can invest your money and make a profit and go from there! It's a pretty basic concept...SAVING that is.

  • If they keep on having more damn babies then they will end up in debit. Got damn! That women is a baby machine

  • smart investor!!! no question about it!

  • haha i love it! ur so right

  • their house is massive.wow

  • They have NO mortgages. They only had a mortgage on their first house back in 1984. They pay CASH for their properties and do 1031 Exchanges to avoid paying capital gains taxes.

  • people think they aren't living off of welfare means something but they are also just living off the system of buying and selling. they aren't special either, those who create or produce are the ones actually contribute more to society from anywhere from farmers to those who manufacture or innovate etc.

  • I agree with you.

I mean how did they get the money in the first place to buy property. Mommy and Daddy??? I mean we would all be out of debt and perfect like the doogers if we had initial help they obviously had. And don't tell me they haven't had help when they first started because it takes money to make money. They are a bit arrogant.

I mean people have credit because they need it, not because they want to. They are spoiled. Neither works outside the home or contributes to society

  • jim bob was a stock boy, saved his $, they waited 4 years abefore having kids. then they made investments. it makes sense to me. thats how a lot of families invest, little money down and they live cheaply

  • The Mr. started earning his living selling used cars and running a convienence store. That's how he got started. I don't agree with everything they do, but the money saving tips are spot on.

The didn't always have a TV show you know. And now they do I'm sure they could afford to buy more, they choose not to.

  • its simple supply and demand. Those who produce have to have someone to produce to...

  • My local Aldi's closed down. I thought the Duggars were supporting them.

  • 1:52 it's causing a crisis?? You've got to be kidding.

  • actually it is causing a crisis. korea, japan, and most of europe are decreasing in population or about to start, which is causing elder benefits to skyrocket as the proportion of young gets smaller

now this many kids is ridiculous, but a fertility rate of 2.1 children/women is necessary

  • @2Sarcia good job retard...you spent a very long time writing all this crap...and its been spammed

  • yahoo estimated the cost of raising one child at $210,000. how much is it for 18?

  • you multiply by 18........

  • wow. you would say that.

  • Thank you for putting up this the video.

  • How do you buy property without going into debt? Mortgage is a form of debt, unless they had the money to buy property in full, and if they can do that, they are not poor at all! Plus what about college tuition? Health Insurance, etc. I'm not buying it. They may not have debt now, but I'm sure they didn't start that way.

  • yeah in the start there must have been money troubles. But as soon as this TV show started all their money must have gone out the window. I wish I could say the same for my family.

  • they got debt free way befor the show started. I think they wrote a book or maybe they speak about how they became debt free

  • Jonh and Kate make 50, 000 to 100, 000 an episode, how do you think they pay their mortgage and everything they have. Congrats on your 19th child Michelle, another wholesome spawn exploited for my viewing pleasure, Disgusting!

  • They started living debt free a few years into their marriage. They choose a high deductible health insurance plan and the kids (like I was) are expected to pay their own college tuition. They do pay CASH for all of their properties which lowers taxes they pay also.

  • How do you buy property without going into debt?

YOU PAY CASH FOR IT. OTHERWISE known as 100% down.

The Duggars aren't the ONLY people to do it, simply the only ones on TLC to have done it BEFORE TLC showed up.

The only house they ever had a mort. on was the FIRST house, and they have owned 3-4 houses since then, and several commercial properties.

They paid 250,000.00 for the LAND the house sits on.. get this now IN CASH.

  • Anyone who hates the Duggars and thinks that they are greedy, sick people can shut up. I think they are a good family and raise their kids well, even though I think some of their beliefs are a little different or weird. I love watching their show.

  • The Duggars are awesome.

  • I say you should replant a tree everytime you use one, then you "ideally" should have a constant source for wood.

  • These people are making LOADS of money off their show, their real estate investments AND they're debt free. Let em' be! Have a million kids, who cares! They take care of their own, and those who whine about them only wish they could be as self sufficient ;).

  • No they have never been on any government assistance ever. So its their business. They are helping others live off of THEIR tax money. Even way before their show they have always paid for everything themselves with CASH. They dont need your tax money

  • I really dont care about them but thanks anyway.I am no longer replying to any of your feedback.

  • Such communists in our midst

  • Get a grip! In the future, we will all be judged by our self-sufficiecy, i.e. our basic human rights will be replaced by a standard of living, strictly enforced. Have you ever seen the movie "Logan's Run"?

In such a society, a family operating like the Duggars will have guns and ammo buried and kick ass when approached. They are SELF-SUFFICIENT. Do not mess with them. Ans speaking as a married woman who has not been able to have children, it is a blessing to see Christians who can conceive.

  • If they were completly self-sufficient they wouldn't have to go to the grocery store for their food, they would grow their own.

  • very true indeed

  • Growing your own food is a lot of work and takes a lot of time.

And there is some food you can't just grow on trees: Bread for example has to be baken and you need flour for it.

  • and where do u think flour comes from? lol!

I get your point of growing your food is complicated, but that bread thing was just stupid!

  • Aldis is awesome. XD

  • Loved Logan's Run...lol...and though a bit extreme in comparison to the Duggars? lol...not to off keel of the reality marker. The Duggars are debt free and take care of their own. They aren't sucking off the state like Octomom...I really do like them. More power to em'!

  • maybe because having a brandname on your clothes isnt something that's important to them? idk, just a thought...

i wear abercrombie and hollister, so i'm not dissing them. but why are their clothing choices suddenly so important to you? who cares if they wear abercrombie or not?

  • Not all of us are spoiled only children

  • Ew, Abercrombie and Hollister.. talk about being a cookie-cutter.. =P

  • That must be the most profitable Aldi in the US.

  • They said the grocery bill was 2,951.91

  • WOW that is alot that is more than most peoples rent

  • GRRRRRRRRR There are 1 million kids in foster care needing a home.

  • then adopt one why dont you?

  • I have.

  • Good!

  • So are you saying that the duggar kids dont deserve to live, and make a difference in their world - But rather the million foster kids should take their place?

    That doesnt make sense.

  • @iraqidolphin Why is that their responsibility?

  • How much did she say that grocery bill came to?

  • 1,000 bucks

  • Thanks Steve, I thought my ears had gone bad.

  • that's not much for a family that large and Bill said they do it ONCE a month.

  • I could have sworn she said one thousand, nine hundred something, but I didnt know it was once a month. Well, even at 500$ per week, thats not bad, we spend over 200$ for 4.

  • whos the chick at 2:25?

  • it's a guy, and he's part of the TV crew from China that came to film the family.

  • I thought they were a Korean film crew.

  • @xoxoixoxo It's actually a Korean film crew :)

  • jajaj yeah the chinese music thing is a little funny. But you're right way different culture....sorry people I am a westerner. But I totally agree with you on your comment.

  • i dont really approve of their lifestyle but you know what, i wouldnt midn having Michelle as a Mom! Especially Jim Bob too!. They are wonderful parents.

  • ugh tlc always does chinese music when referring to KOREAN PEOPLE. IE: jon and kate plus 8

  • OMG its true!!

I'm chinese and i've gotta tell ya chinese + korean culture are like REALLY different the music is not the same at all ... a lot of westerners are really ignorant about asian culture!

  • I agree with you, I'm not Asian but' I'm a huge world culture fan and listen and study various world music and culture. Chinese and Korean two DIFFERENT cultures. It's like saying Italy and Ireland have the same culture and their languages sound a like.

  • I love their house!!!

  • this family is a little strange but very smart i think they are doing what most families should be doing if you dont have the money dont buy it

  • @ASB5492

This is probably why I like the Duggars more than most families with reality shows on TLC. Regardless of how weird or crazy they are, at least they're not fully depending on their own show to make ends meet. They seem to be surprisingly smart about how they handle their finances.
