Whether you liked it or not, President Bush was protecting us. He did make some mistakes, but at least he is a good man and not a liar like our present President.

People need to start researching politics instead of going off pure nonsense they overhear on Fox News. Bush added 6.6 TRILLION DOLLARS to our national debt on account of his deficit spending (2.2 trillion for his tax cuts/4.4 on the Iraq/Afghanistan occupations), and that's truly remarkable when you consider that Clinton handed him an economy that was turning over SURPLUS after SURPLUS.

Nothing that Obama has signed or will ever sign will add as much to our debt as what Bush managed to add.

@espanola123 He was pretty liberal on the financial and government side of things. I wish he was more conservative in that department. For example, No Child Left Behind was an intrusion on the public school system because the federal government decided they had to get involved, even though they had no right. Also, giving out stimulus money to attempt jumpstarting an economy has been a liberal tenant for many, many years. He's no Reagan in terms of his philosophy on economy and big government.

George Bush was more liberal than conservative. He was socially conservative but when it came to financial and other matters, some of his policies were too left for me and others. For example, No Child Left Behind is pretty liberal for a Republican. Giving and authorizing stimulus money is also pretty liberal. If he followed fiscally conservative values then we wouldn't be in this recession.

well i will say this. Bush's presidency was marked by mistakes, disastrous decisions, and at times even plain incompetence. At the same though, the situation he was placed in after 9/11 was difficult, and forced him to make difficult decisions. And the economy, though partially his fault, shouldn't be wholey blamed on him since this was a perfect storm that was building for a long time. but his disastrous decision to invade iraq and his failure in katrina are things thatll mar his presidency

He campaigns on cutting spending but proposes a 3.2 trillion dollar spending plan. He campaigned on being friends with Israel but just stabbed us in our backs. He campaigned on peace but now wont pull out of Iraq during his presidency and expanded teh war in Afghanistan. Im not an American and i can figure this out. y cant u? want me to keep going?
