I love this mix almost as much as the famous one. It's the same recording but in stereo, no phasing or wah-pedal. Powerful in a different way. Just fabulous. Thank you for posting.
Sadly many of the disillusioned of the 60's became worse than the people they were against. In the early 70's we were sitting around the kitchen table gettin' high & talkin'. I said that when our generation grew up that things would be better. My friend responded that they'd be worse. I didn't believe him at the time...I know better now.
Love this song...it always made me feel like blue skies and white fluffy clouds forever...this vid. puts a different tone to it...remember our beloved soldiers and live our lives deserving of their sacrifice...
those monks igniting themselves are strong ...... just like their wills ...... amazing what a person will do ... when they believe wholeheartedly in something!
make food, not love!!!!! ........ i'm an obese, sloppy, self centered couch potato .... ahhhh, i remember these times well! ...... just kiddin! ... not anything like that!
I rememb back at high schoo in my costa rik , my friend who loved rock as much as me in mid 70's, told me this was 1 of t best rock songs he ever heard , man was he right !!!!
Great song!!!!! Saw them at the Long Island Coliseum in 1968: had no idea who they were at the time. Steppenwolf and Deep Purple. They played first and damn near stole the show!
How did u know I LOVE this song? I have this on a "Nuggets" CD, and never get tired of hearing it. Very turbulent times in the '60's, but the music will ALWAYS stand out as the BEST in history. Great pics interspersed with the band performance, GD.LOVE YA MAN, Trish
